Liz
Growing up in an orphanage, Liz loved to sneak out and wander the little Slavic town. She made friends with a stray dog that became her trusty companion until his sudden disappearance. With nothing keeping Liz in this town anymore, she escapes into the city and begins her street smart life as a wicked 12 year old.
She gets by with various sleights of hand and odd jobs. But maybe tinkering with the town's ancient clocktower wasn't her best gig since she seems to have some...time-skipping related issues ever since and loses track of time randomly.
Her whole world is shaken when she bumps into some weird blue haired dude claiming to be from a strange planet she never heard of before. She rolls with it and tries to help him find his lost friend resulting in them accidentally discovering a secret society in a magical village.
Since magic seems to be real (in some sort?? she doesn't really get it) Liz sees new potential in her job opportunities and since she happens to be cursed the villagefolk show a profound interest in keeping her around so why not take advantage of it?

Impractically long hair which can be hard to tame so she tends to put it into a handkerchief or braids. Very quirky fashion sense, likes to combine slavic folk elements with whimsical clothing, star and alien themed.

Stealing shit
Can be very sneaky. Trained by the years on the street. Despite everything, Liz has some kind of screwed up moral compass and wouldn't steal to cause harm or with evil intentions. If she believes in the cause, nothing will stop her but otherwise she is very stubborn and nearly impossible to convince.
Unreliable fortuneteller
From early childhood she's been having some kind of prophetic dreams where she can see important events but only if she is included in them in some way. Unfortunately this ability is rendered kinda useless due to the curse as she sometimes skips in her timeline and wakes up in a different age thus never knowing when the vision in her dream happens.
Definitely a witch
Cursed for tinkering with an ancient clock and her timeline scrambling, she is the talk of the village when she arrives. Using her silver-tongue she manages to convince everyone she must be a witch. Thus the only other witch in the village takes Liz under her wing to live and train their abilities together.
Liz has a way with words and is very sly. She can do anything she sets her mind to. Despite this she struggles to find a place where she could belong although she would never even try admitting that. She doesn't let other people see her cracks and always puts on a confident persona.
Freddie (bestie)
Just as her life started making less and less sense she meets this guy who claims to be an alien. They instantly click and become bestest of friends with matching vibes. Freddie replaces the empty space left behind her lost dog from childhood.
Pluto (found family)
They made Liz uneasy at first and she tried to distance herself from Pluto as to not get dragged into some big trouble. But she owes it to Freddie to help them out and the way Pluto just keeps stumbling into situations awakes something in her and she keeps an eye out for him at all times. Big sis - little bro dynamics ensue.
Mrs. Murray (teacher/landlord)
The old witch from the village. She is mute and surrounded by a hoard of cats following her every move. For some reason she seems to be playing along Liz's game which makes her feel uneasy as she can never figure out what Mrs.Murray is thinking. Also she might be allergic to cats.
