Ardent Azure

Azure doesn't talk to just anyone on how he got to Cantha long before the borders were opened, but with a bit of wheedling one can get the impression it involved pirates and a storm. Whether he was one of them or was dragged along is unknown. People are pretty sure Ardent Azure isn't his original name. Either way, Azure arrived in a foreign land alone and with nothing, the only of his kind with no way home. His endless misfortunes finally ended when he was found by nearby villagers who handed him over to the local minor clan of Asu. While baffled by what he was, the clan recognized his skill and adopted him into their ranks. Working his way up, he eventually fell under the direct command of the head of the clan, Yun Kanna.

Azure prefers to keep his distance, walking through the beautiful woods of the isle of Moonrise Crest or Shing Jea. He gives off the impression of being indifferent to the goings on around him, but the truth is he is endlessly loyal to his adopted clan and will do whatever is commanded of him. Yun Kanna knows this and so, in between missions, trusts him to come and go as he pleases and keep to his own council if he wishes. One can see the gratefulness he holds towards her whenever he looks at her.

Within Moonrise Crest, Azure maintains his own tiny little island where he can remain in solitude and manage his small collection of pets. He'll sometimes work alongside Shun in keeping and training the guild animals, though their rekationship is impersonal at best.
