Design

Appearance

He’s a firey from the movie “Labyrinth” (1986) and looks (besides the colors/patterns) and behaves as such. All his limbs are fully detachable and work even when away from his body/head. He’s also very stretchy but tends to slump over and scuttle around.

He can be drawn in any shape or form, wearing whatever kind of jewelry or clothes, even.

Notes

• It's not a beak, technically it's his nose lmao
• His teeth are slightly yellowed
• He tends to stick his tongue out randomly
• Are the white parts skin or fur? No one knows... (it's skin, but can be drawn as very short fur if u want)
• The darker tuft of hair on his head is always defined from the rest
• His ears have a bit of mobility and tend to pull back when he's fixated on something or scared

Background

Inside the labyrinth beyond the goblin city, Eros had always been as vain as he is, cheating at every game he played - may it be sports or dice, he found a way - and the other fireys despised him for it.

He gained his reputation around the kingdom after word spread that he worked for the king for just a few coins and a gold necklace, going against the ideals of the fireys of living a non-materialistic, free life under the control of no one. This was ultimately the straw that broke the camel’s back, leading to him being kicked from his gang and abandoned by anyone he knew into the twisted walls of the maze.

He ended up wandering around the labyrinth, ignored or even mocked by any locals that stumbled before him (the fairies being usually the main perpetrators). Though sometimes, may it be a human looking for something or just a folk from the city, someone would ask him for help with the ways of the confusing labyrinth and he always gladly ends up agreeing - just as long as he is paid an unfair price upfront (though a bit of arguing and threats tend to lower his prices drastically). But if he ends up deeming the person before him “unworthy of his help”, he just bails and hopes not to get chased into a corner.

Occasionally, the king would return to ask for his help, and he'd end up in a situation where he couldn’t really say no -- mainly for the sake of not being dipped in the bog of eternal stench...; But if he had to be honest, whilst he hates him for the way he rules and demands things - he still looks up to him for how he manages to hold so much power over the whole kingdom and further beyond the Underground without any struggle.

Relationships

THE KING

While Eros is in a love-hate situation about him, the king couldn't care less. He barely remembers his name and usually just seeks him when he needs some stuff done for cheap, it being either stopping humans from reaching him or "doing the work" when he's asked a wish from above the Underground.

THE FIREYS

He hates them for abandoning him just for having different ideals, even though he always was an asshole towards them. He tends to act snarky or even aggressive towards any firey he meets, even if it wasn't one from his gang.

Trivia

• If you flash him with a bright light, his eyes reflect like a cat's
• Very fluffy, if you put him against something static he puffs up
• He can set his fingers on fire like matchsticks and is thus completely fireproof
• He has a little nook inside an old dying tree where he keeps all "his" possessions. He usually sits on one of the higher branches and waits for someone to approach.
