Keir is serious and tries to play it cool, but he's really just an immature young pokemon who never had to fend for himself. He's confused and scared and while he's brave enough to fight to try and bring his family back after they mysteriously disappeared- he definitely has a lot to learn about the world, and his own capabilities and limits. He went from a loving and protective family to cold nights, hunger, and feeling lost, often making him bitter and untrusting of others even though he desperately wants help and people he can depend on. He tries to play himself off as a lone wolf, but that's more of a self defense mechanism than anything else.

He has the capability of being a great leader. While he doesn't know much -he's always willing and wanting to learn, and will give his all into anything he does. He isn't afraid to question things around him and is very strong willed when it comes to doing what he thinks is right.

He suffers a lot of guilt for his family's disappearance, blaming himself and his failure to respect the ancient rituals they always performed- even if he tries his best to convince himself that it can't possibly be his fault. He thinks that finding the truth and returning them will rectify his mistakes. 

Keir grew up with his family in a small village near an old cave, full of waterfalls tumbling down and fountains shooting from geysers building through the stone. The cave always had a strange aura- but more strange was the traditions his family kept up through the years. Performing rituals to prevent a "Great tragedy" said to occur every 100 years. Though it was mostly heresay and vocal storytelling, leading many to doubt its legitimacy. Keir included. However, when he accidently interrupted one of the rituals and fled the village in anger after an argument with his family... he returned to find an entirely empty village. Everyone he knew and cared for was gone, and Keir was left to wonder if this was the "great tragedy" they had worked so hard to prevent- and if he was the one truly responsible for it.

He now resides in the old village, trying his best to find out the truth while battling his own guilt and confusion on the matter, along with trying to figure out how to do the basics of living on his own and trying to perform the rituals he barely knew in order to bring his family back.

After weeks alone, he finally is joined by another pokemon, Itzal. While Itzal appeared to loot the abandoned village and make off with anything interesting... Keir instead made a valuable ally and friend. 

However, the village's abandonment didn't go long unnoticed...as aggressive pokemon and threats began to emerge trying to take it from the young pokemon. Keir quickly realized he'd have to fight to keep both his home, and the one link to his family that he could truly have.
