Quiet, noddy, and generally nonverbal, Tinpan, also known as Sly amongst friends, serves as a mediator between comfort & change. Sticks straight to the basics, counters stock full of beans, rice, and a colorful array of spices. Tinpan, though aberrant in being, means nothing but a swelling goodness from the heart. Often carrying around a metal thermos, leaving a stream of warm spiced tea wherever he trails. Thrives within the warmness of winter, filling his lungs with cold air on walks stuffed with coats and scarves.
Name derives from Tin Pan Alley, a collective of music publishers and songwriters that dominated the market in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the name referencing the biting sound of cheap upright pianos being played in the Flower District of Manhattan as musicians composed works to sell to publishers that would eventually be covered and sung on the radio by a multitude of singers.
