i. While never officially diagnosed with schizophrenia, the signs are blatantly clear in Kane. Conversations with Kane are primariy one-sided, but can never be described as boring. He is either unaware or doesn't care about the people around him, with no remorse for even the worst of his actions. More of a flexible character than you may think, he doesn't mind compromising in a scenario when it benefits him and futhers his objectives.

ii. The younger half-brother of Asaka and Shiryo. After their mother ran away with Shiryo, they were found lost and struggling by a farmer far outside the city they escaped. He took them in, and after one thing led to another, Kane was born. His family tried their best to raise him well, to seperate him and themselves from their past, but it was no use.
Once Kane found out about the rest of his half-bloods, he was fixated on the same path as Asaka. Even though he didn't truly understand her objectives, her actions spoke to him and he strived to follow in her footsteps. Too lax in their reassurance that Kane had turned out fine, his family never saw him coming. His only goal - to finish what Asaka couldn't. He murdered their mother, but his life was taken in turn by Shiryo.
Soul trapped just as Asaka's was in the cursed blade, he never truly died. Asaka's burst of magic centuries later pulled them into parallel universes, where they later met back up in a groundbride malfunction.
