• gold stripes mimic pilot uniform stripes 
• his shirt has an atc radar on it 
• his dog tag says “A310”, an airbus model which tended to erroneously engage partial autopilot disconnect, aka kill all humans mode 
• his nametag says DC-10, a model of airplane famous for falling out of the sky 
• his lanyard says “TCAS”, traffic collision avoidance system 
• the gray sections on his sleeves and pants mimic the flaps on an airplane wing
• the arrows on his hoodie pulls and earrings both reference the autopilot directional display(i thought abt making them magenta for accuracy but it didnt fit his colors) and the arrows used in windshear analysis 
• his face is a reference to how aero majors look at you when you mention that your classwork is hard
