About
The oldest deity alive of the Halycandrian pantheon, Zevuro has the ability to control any liquid's flow. Always composed and professional, they can come across as rude and cold. This attitude derives mostly from their job of keeping the balance of the world, where there's not much space for emotions. Having lost many friends, they don't open up easily and keep to themselves.
"years of love, destroyed by a second of hate"
Born a Koi carp, Zevuro was then turned into a dragon koi hybrid after having lived 100 years as a carp by the dragon gods and asked to take part in the Council of the Dragons. They accepted and were given the duty to keep balance in the world, a job that would reveal to be a lot harder than what it seemed at the beginning. Nonetheless, young Zevuro accepted and has enjoyed the first years of their new life as a god with their new found friends and took great interest in the new gods that were slowly starting to populate the world, interacting with many and being often their guide into this new life. Everything seemed perfect, until one day a huge war between the gods broke out, caused by the disagreement on whether or not they should impose their authority on mortal creatures or leave them freedoom of choice.
the war
during the war, unlike other gods, Zevuro didn't pick immediately a side, but tried to mediate at first. When they saw that their efforts were in vain, they joined in the conflict for the freedom of mortals. The fighting resulted in the whole pantheon being thrown into a neverending bloodshed. Admist the chaos, all the original members of the council of the dragons were slain, except Zevuro, who became an active part of the combats. When the war ended, not only a big part of the pantheon has been wiped from existance, but also the ones who were left had deeply changed, including Zevuro, who became colder and more distant.
after the war
After the conflict, Zevuro found it extremely difficult to go back and trust everyone after what happened. They proved to be much more harsh with the others, especially with those they deemed "a danger to the balance of the world". As time went on, more and more gods retired and left the plains of Leria, choosing to live among the humans, Zevuro themselves had a hard time deciding, but chose to retire after realizing the world didn't need gods anymore. Despite their attitude, they managed to develop a meaningful friendship with some humans, while also maintaining relationships with some of the deities. They now mostly work on their library and taking care of their koi carps, hoping one might meet their same fate and being reborn as a deity.
