mar's a modest man, who only wants to live a modest life by the seaside. he doesn't need much, doesn't want much, and he certainly doesn't need the adventurer's guild knocking at his door begging him to take up a job for them. sure, he's mysterious and fearsome, with magic trained into his blood and light shining beneath his skin, but all he wants to do is fish.
but in the end, mar caved. now he's stuck with a ragtag group of adventurers in which the oldest can't be more than 21, doing the same line of work he's spent so much time running from. it's only been a few weeks, but despite how much he wants to go back to his life, mar has a responsibility to uphold now.
don't pay attention to the light in his skin and the scars on his shoulders. there's a dull hum growing in his skull, something flickering its way to life inside his chest, and gods is mar too old for this shit. it's far easier to ignore the gold welling from his wounds.
