Haze

Wheeze help I'm mildly simping for robot scientist lady-

So! I briefly mentioned Haze in Wraith's profile (which uhhh boy I gotta update and code that haha. Let's just say I've developed him a whole lot since then, boy gets a whole ass redemption arc now because I fell for him too hard, we love that for him.) And now she's here! She's real! I love her so much?? And uh her existence was basically the entire reason behind me getting a lot of lore down for my robots! So thank her for that! See, I was really wanting to make her, give Wraith a buddy, y'know. But I couldn't think of exactly what to do with her design-wise. I liked the idea of giving her a bit of a biohazard theming with her gas mask, and I had the idea of her ability, but I didn't know if it'd really work. And then the idea hit me. What if she and Wraith were part of a team of four to represent the four horsemen of the apocalypse? Wraith is death, Haze is pestilence, y'know! Mercury's boyfriend Ares (who has yet to get a profile haha) used to be war before he met Mercury and went good. Then I have yet to design famine, but he's coming haha. And the famine robot is gonna be a nasty little bitch, but I'll probably still love him haha.

And boy, Haze's concept really all came together once I got that theme idea! Admittedly I tried designing her once before deciding on the theme, and I grabbed a few of those aspects despite scrapping the original concept. Like I liked the idea of her getting short hair, the mask and spiky collar/cuffs of course. And her clothes under her lab coat I grabbed from her original concept, with some little changes. I'm honestly a sucker for this little like... vest? Dress? Thing? Whatever she has going on under her coat, tasty. I think it's a sorta vest over a bodysuit maybe?? Whatever haha. And her cord tendrils!! Those play into her abilities, and boy I love her with them haha. She went from a struggle to design to another favorite robot, we love her for that.

I'll get her and Wraith coded eventually bear with me wheeze,, for now, take some little info on her! It's not a ton, but it's enough for the time being haha.

Haze is a part of Wraith's group. She typically accompanies Wraith on missions, using her abilities to assist him and give him good opportunities. She is a master at doling out psychological damage, using her specialized viruses to mess with opponents. Unlike the other members of her team, she's actually quite uninterested in much of the field work she does. She doesn't care much for missions, and the few she does have a specific interest in aren't that way because of what she's doing. Rather, it's because she views them as opportunities to learn and experiment more than anything.

As a person, Haze is surprisingly lackadaisical. She's very apathetic to much of the events that go on around her, and isn't afraid to let you know just that. She has practically no morals and no desire to learn any. She does whatever interests her, no matter how morally bankrupt it may be. She has very deadpan mannerisms, hardly ever showing emotion on her face or in her voice. These mannerisms combine with her very sarcastic and cynical conversation style. She has a dry sense of humor, one that leaks into conversation with her easily. Often this leads her to sarcastic teasing of those around her. She's very blunt and matter-of-fact with her speech otherwise. She doesn't exactly know what sugarcoating is, and is far from the person you'd want to go to for comfort. However, what she lacks in sensitivity, she more than makes up for in sheer logic and intelligence. She is a mastermind, one with plenty of curiosity. She's quick to adapt to her surroundings, and a master at coming up with plans. She's very tactically-minded. She loves learning about new things, especially when it comes to robot anatomy. She views the world through the lens of a subject needing to be studied. She has a passion for experimentation, something she often does while on her missions. She is deeply obsessed with her personal interests, but struggles to care that much about things that don't pertain to her general cares. She is very laid-back, preferring to go with the flow specifically so she has to focus less on things that bore her. She's surprisingly lazy, loving to relax, procrastinate, and focus on her interests above all else.

In combat, Haze possesses quite terrifying abilities. She has four cord-like tendrils on her back that she uses to make these abilities work. She is able to hack into opponents. In particular, this hacking ability allows her to read their minds, accessing their memories and thoughts to her whims. Using that information, she's then able to craft and inject enemies with viruses she custom-makes. These viruses can cause any number of effects, but typically act as hallucinations. They make enemies see and hear things that aren't really there. Typically, she tailors these viruses specifically after her enemies' worst fears just to mess with them. Though she can create viruses for other purposes too. Outside of these abilities, she can almost use her tendrils as extra arms, minus the hands. She can wrap them around things to grab them, allowing for good evasive skills. They can even carry her around like spider legs if she wants them to.

And some little facts wahoo wahoo

• She's very short, like barely 5 feet tall, and on the scrawny side. Wraith could use her as a toothpick, but he would never.
• Her voice claim is Stephanie Wong (example here)
• Her face underneath her mask is hollow. She has no mouth or lower face. She can technically swap from her mask to have a more human face, but she greatly prefers her mask.
• While she's definitely more deadpan, her tendrils are surprisingly expressive. She can have a completely straight face and monotone voice, and her tendrils will do the emoting for her. She often "talks" with her tendrils versus her hands.
• She collects robot parts. She often gets them on jobs she goes on with Wraith, since he tends to make pretty big messes, but sometimes she'll get them on her own time. She mainly does this just to look at them or experiment with them, but will sometimes use them as replacements for injuries. She herself is likely almost frankensteined together with various parts she's collected, but she'd never admit that.
• Given her knowledge with robot anatomy, she's actually surprisingly good at maintenance work, like fixing robots. She quite likes taking on this supportive role, mainly because it gives her the chance to learn anatomy more.
• She is very into video games. She has to hide this from most people she works with or else they'll accuse her of slacking off. However, despite this, most of her free time not spent learning is spent gaming. She'll stay up to absurd hours of the night doing just this.
• She gets sleepy surprisingly easily, and loves to take naps. She curls up in weird positions like a cat. She often steals Wraith's cloak to use as a blanket at times, even though she has her huge coat to use instead.
• She and Wraith are very close to one another. They're great friends, and almost share a sibling dynamic. Especially now that Ares is gone, they're easily the two that are closest together in the group.
• While she struggles with emotional matters, she's not completely devoid of empathy. When people she cares for need her, she does her best to help. She just greatly dislikes handling such issues.
