Tadashi Kanno ( 匡史 官能) is a contender of Blue Lock , who currently plays as a leftwing for Spain's FC Barcha during the Neo Egoist League.
First introduced as rank #3 during the Third Selection for being able to score a goal against Team World Five He later played as a RWF/RWB for the match between Blue Lock Eleven and the Japan U-20 team.

Played sports from a young age, taking a liking to soccer at the age of 4. His father on the other hand wanted his only son to become a star of baseball, forcing a bat into his hands the second he could walk. For better or worst Tadashi seemed to be a genius when it came to sports. Excelling in Baseball, Volleyball, Basketball, Tennis, and so many more. All sports but one… football. With his friends, he would usually play defensive positions. However, he wanted more. He wanted to play the best position… a striker. When his baseball team ran out of funding due to all of it going to the football team he had two choices. Just accept one of the many professional teams offers he had or… Join the football team and destroy it from within.
First Selection
This egoist thing wasn't for him, that's what he originally thought. Until joining blue lock he thought Football was a team sport. That the more you got to know your teammates the better player you would become. After his first loss against team V (he was on team Y) he finally understood. How selfish the role of the striker was… and he loved it.
Second Selection
Tadashi would have an easier time with blue lock man because since the beginning he created his own goals. His team just provided tools to make the goals easier. Even though he was number 13, he still waited for Tabito. Tadashi ended up falling asleep waiting, the only one to wake him up was Tabito, who was there with Eita. The first game was lost, the enemy team taking Eita. (Since the duo instigated the enemy team too much.) At the 2v2 area, Tadashi meets Isagi while training. Talking to each other like they had known each other their whole life.
World's Best
Tabito always asked what the enemy was saying and Tadashi softly translated for the rest of the team. The world's best tried to give callouts in English at first, Tadashi translated them into Japanese. Then the two Hispanic players try to speak Spanish, and Tadashi translated. Lastly, Dada Silva cursed him out in Portuguese under his breath, “This nerd is a pain in the ass”. To which Tadashi responds in Portuguese with a mocking tone, “What's wrong, meat shield? Lacking on the language department?”. Tadashi managed to score a goal by putting pressure on them, the usual instigating Tabito would do, Tadashi was doing. (3rd team clear: Tabito, Kenyu, Tadashi, Haruhiko, Eita)
3rd Selection
“Number three, Tadashi Kanno.” Initially, Tadashi complained about being paired up with Tabito, but he knew they were too good of a duo. They are a deadly duo, always being so close to beating Team A… but Team A came down unbeatable.
Number 9
Tadashi gets to shine as a winger, easily passing the ball and making space for Chigiri and Isagi. Sadly, doesn’t get to score a goal but gets so close to doing so and at least gets some cool assists. Played most of the game as RWF then changed to RWB when Barou got into the game. Almost around halftime, Tadashi sees his mom and two sisters but not his dad, either way, he gets teary-eyed while Isagi and Bachira ask if he's okay. Then he points to bachira’s mom pinching Tadashi’s younger sister's cheeks. Around the end of the game, he takes a ball to the face from Sae but keeps playing… with a nosebleed. Tabito tries to argue for a yellow card referee but ends up just resuming the game with the ball in their favor. He ends the game hugging and not letting go of Isagi as he cries for the first time over a sport.
Number 9?
Tadashi joins Spain (FC Barcha) to improve his relationship with Soccer. He's so used to the world of baseball where everyone has their roles and is a pretty consistent game. His Stats were pretty good, but since joining Blue Lock he didn't see any major improvement in his stats. His dribbling skills increased an insane amount for the days he was under Laninho, Tadashi being able to learn just by watching him. He rarely uses his micro translator, claiming that he wants to improve his Spanish/Portuguese. In the actual games, he gets to score some goals, and more often than not... He’s the one assisting Bachira.
He gets to shine pretty often, easily becoming a regular. His major pet peeve is losing. Sure, he’s having fun finally having Bachira’s passes all to himself, but Tadashi wants to win.

Befriended each other from the beginning of Blue Lock, being on the same team, and stuck by each other since then. From the first section to the U20 game… Tabito and Tadashi have been inseparable. Often jokingly referred to as “the old married couple” by the way they behave. Tadashi supports Tabito’s unstable love life and Tabito tries to get Tadashi to make a move on his crushes.
Tabito was fighting the tears when he noticed Tadashi didn't pick France and kept saying to Tabito that “French people weren't real.” In the end, they wished each other a farewell and promised that they will meet again… stronger. (Mfs went thru a breakup era.) Tabito also told Bachira to, “Take care of the Spider Queen.” in his absence.
They met in the practice room of the second selection (2v2 area) and Isagi admitted to being a fan of Tadashi and he got so excited when Tadashi started playing soccer. Tadashi left promising/hoping that the next time they meet they will play together, not against each other… The next time they met was in the 3rd selection, where they played against each other! Overall, Tadashi was very excited to see Isagi grow as a player from far away, only getting closer in the U20 arc when they finally played on the same team. Isagi was surprised to see Tadashi cling to him after his winning goal at the U20 game, also his first time seeing the superstar cry. Tadashi only let go of Isagi’s waist when he heard the media wanted to interview him.
They officially met in the 3rd selection, with Bachira going against Tadashi’s team. (they met on the A3 vs B3 match) Tadashi did a bicycle kick with the assistance of Tabito and Bachira craved to assist Tadashi’s goals. While Tadashi after seeing Bachira score after him and right under his nose. Just knew he wanted to play beside him, no matter what it took. After joining FC Barcha, they finally got to play together without distractions thanks to their positions being next to each other. This allowed them to grow way closer than they were before. Tadashi occasionally helps Bachira learn and practice his English and occasionally teaches him Spanish/Portuguese insults.
They met at a press conference about the future of sports in Japan, where they gathered a bunch of young athletes and interviewed them. The two that got asked endless questions were Itoshi Sae and Tadashi Kanno. Tadashi was surprised but somewhat intrigued by Sae’s boldness but couldn't bear how disrespectful he was being. They forgot about each other's existence until they saw each other in the U20 game. Sae found it discourteous how Blue Lock would put Tadashi in the starting lineup just for clicks. It was a surprise when Tadashi was also a star in soccer but also… when he blocked one of Sae’s goals with his face. At this point, Sae was also intrigued by Tadashi's desire to play soccer even if nobody rivaled him in the baseball world.
