Asle was created by Lord Qi to rule over the domain of Order. Opposite Nephtali, who was made to rule Chaos, she made rules, laws, and expectations for the rest of the world to struggle to live up to. After long years struggling against her counterpart and their lack of understanding of one another, the two of them added more pairs to their council: Life and Death, Hope and Despair, Justice and Apathy, Light and Dark, Dream and Nightmare, Pride and Humility, and Love and Hate. Working together, they laid the foundations for many worlds throughout the multiverse. They were family, and they never did grow to understand each other.

When Heaven fell, the council was shattered. Asle and Nephtali fell, together, to a world with incredibly advanced technology. But they did not fall whole: Nephtali was used to destruction, but the damage done to Asle was irreparable. Corruption took hold of her mind, and she transformed into a monster, rampant on the world. Nephtali, without the balance of his soulmate, on whom he relied heavily, fell to his own untempered aspect: on the other side of the world from Asle, he burns endlessly and tears down the world around him, bit by bit.

Asle spends most of her time terrorizing a single city, which has erected walls and defense systems specifically to counter her. In a desperate bid to gain the upper hand, the city invented a mechanical creature, fashioned after the monster it was meant to defeat, with state-of-the-art weaponry. It was to be the knight to take down their personal dragon. What they did not know is that Asle possessed a power few Daitens do: the power of a Lifebringer. Even without her mind intact, she saw the shape of a Daiten and remembered how to give it a soul. The city's final measure of defense defected, and now defends Asle with its life.
