It is uncertain when or where was Skyler born, as he was abandoned in the woods as a baby. He'd survive his first years thanks to a pack of wolfs that took care of him until a kind, elder hermit found him and took him as her child. Skyler would grow up mostly isolated from society, with no other company besides his adoptive mother. During his teens, he'd discover more about himself and his body, lucky for him, his mother was always supportive of his choices.
Once Skyler was 19, his mother passed away, leaving him all alone. Nearby the same time, he'd meet a stranger who found interest in him. This stranger would turn Skyler in one of his kind, cursed to live only by night.
More years passed, and they turned to decades until Skyler met a dying youth in the woods. This young man reminded him of his younger, more naive self, and so Skyler took him under his wing, sharing his curse with him.
