THe Hermit- Tarot

CardMeaning

UPRIGHT: Soul-searching, introspection, being alone, inner guidance
REVERSED: Isolation, loneliness, withdrawal

The Hermit stands alone on the top of a mountain. The snow-capped range symbolizes his spiritual mastery, growth, and accomplishment. He has chosen this path of self-discovery and, as a result, has reached a heightened state of awareness.

In his right hand, he holds a lantern with a six-pointed star inside; it is the Seal of Solomon, a symbol of wisdom. As The Hermit walks his path, the lamp lights his way – but it only illuminates his next few steps rather than the full journey. He must step forward to see where to go next, knowing that not everything will be revealed at once. In his left hand, the side of the subconscious mind, The Hermit holds a long staff (a sign of his power and authority), which he uses to guide and balance him.

The Hermit Tarot card in an upright position generally indicates that you are entering a period of soul searching, self-reflection and spiritual enlightenment. You may find that you need time alone to gain a deeper understanding of yourself, to remove yourself from the daily grind in order to discover your true spiritual self, contemplate your existence,  your direction in life or your values. The Hermit can also indicate isolating yourself or withdrawing into oneself in order to recover from a difficult situation. This Major Arcana trump card can suggest that you may be going through an anti-social phase where you just don’t want to interact with people as much as you normally would. The Hermit is wise, mature and knowledgeable and may be an indication of someone seeking the services of a counsellor or psychiatrist.  This is a time to focus on yourself and meeting your own needs.

If you find that you’re rushed off your feet, never having a minute to take a breath, The Hermit suggests that if you don’t make time for yourself to rest and reboot your health may suffer. Take a break. Even taking a few minutes every day to meditate or just clear your mind and connect with how your body is feeling would benefit your health at this time.

Maybe a meditation class, a reiki share, tarot reading circle or even a yoga class would be helpful now. Solitary spiritual work is great but you also need to connect with  others.

Harold "The Hermit" or "The Wanderer"  is known around for centuries for helping others. While his staff and lantern lead the way for the next goal, it often brings him to new people and worlds.
Wise words and knows a lil to life as he acts in a way, like a therapist. Giving advice, healing wounds intern and extern.
Usually with a cup of tea.
He has a small lil carriage he has alongside whenever wandering (which he can let appear) lives in, gives out his tea and travels. For usual he goes by foot as he enjoys nature.

To Him:

Harold once appeared upon the starry night, gazing up after having seen a big glow of a lightsource and was given the staff by one of the gods of the worlds. Telling to be helpul and renew his past.
As the light guides him, learning of life and helping others, he copes with the lonliness and time.
Later aquires via Magic and gift, a carriage he can summon and remain inside. He uses it to form his lil talking place where travellers and those he meets can rest, talk and get some help along the way. It is a very cosy place to be and Harold has excellent listening skills as he forms as a counceller/psychiatrist and a friend in need.

He got used to this long ago and has been wandering for years now. Making a name as many know who he is. Some can call upon him or stumble across him when the light leads.

Usually with a gentle and soft expression, he has seen many come and go and holds them dearly. Immortal beeing and hard to get down, he will make sure to help.
