Dapplekit [Tupfenjunges]

Dapplekit is a tall calico cat with a lean build and narrow shoulders. Their muscles aren't as well developed as those of an average cat, which is why they have less physical strength. Their hindlegs, however, are somewhat more muscular, as is usual for a SkyClan cat. But even here, the development of their muscles does not come close to the average of their clanmates. Dapplekit's long legs end in round paws with pink pads and short, pointed claws, which they know how to use well in battle. Only on their hind paws, their paw pads do have a brick-red spot, where they are bordered by light orange fur. In addition to that they have a bushy tail

Their dense tri-colored fur is medium-length. It usually looks well-groomed and shiny since Dapplekit takes their appearance seriously and takes enough time to groom it every day. The coat is slightly longer at the tail making it more bushy. Two-thirds of their pelt (about 65 %) is white with gray and light orange patches covering the rest of their body. The spots are mostly found on their back, tail, legs, paws, and head and vary in size. They also show thin, darker stripes that form a mackerel tabby pattern. On their chest, throat, chin, and right front paw, as well as parts of their face, Dapplekits fur is purely white.

Dapplekit's head has a round shape. They have soft facial features with a short muzzle that ends in a pale pink nose. The white whiskers appear to be a bit longer compared to other cats and the bridge of their nose as well as one side of the muzzle are covered with a light orange spot. Dapplekit's ears are rounded at the tips and while the left one is covered in white fur, the right one is light orange with some gray at its base. The young cat's eyes are large, round, and have a green color. In addition to this Spottedkit seems to be happy and upbeat most of the time.

One of the defining characteristics of Dapplekit is their great need for attention and recognition. The young tortoiseshell cat seems always to try to get attention and reactions from others. Sometimes it almost doesn't matter whether it's positive attention such as praise or a kind word, or whether it's being scolded by a warrior for some stupid action. Of course, Dapplekit favors positive attention but the young cat would prefer almost anything to not being noticed at all. And sometimes it is simply easier to generate negative attention. Since the young cat hates when others don't pay attention to them or don't seem to notice them in any way, they are unconsciously constantly busy finding new ways to get the attention they need. This can lead to problems because, after all, Dapplekit can't always be the center of attention and sometimes there are simply more important things than the young cat with an almost insatiable need for being noticed. What's even more noticeable to those who don't know Dapplekit is their often overdramatic attitude. The young cat often reacts exaggeratedly to problems or difficulties and sometimes creates drama where other cats would have remained completely calm. Partly, this may be due to the deep feelings that run inside the quite emotional cat, but sometimes it's simply exaggerated. Dapplekit tends to make problems bigger than they are and is inclined to drag other cats into it as well. Sometimes they even cause drama, when it's not about themselves but about others and most would say, they shouldn't get involved. This might also happen due to the small tortoiseshell cat's curiosity and the fact that they just can't resist sticking their nose in everywhere. Whether it's a relationship drama in their circle of friends or a whispered word that they hear in passing ... Dapplekit is always keen to find out what's going on and has a tendency to get involved without being asked. The young cat wants to know what's going on and what's happening and if no one is willing to tell them, they feel very uncomfortable. This can also lead to unpleasant situations if Dapplekit feels like they have to prove that they're worthy of knowing the information or have to be told what's going on.

Something else to mention here is that Dapplekit can become extremely manipulative when they feel they're not being noticed or are not getting the attention they need. Even though they are not malicious or unfriendly, they might become angry when others don't pay attention to them and then resort to problematic means to stage drama or to find out what they want to know. This might happen spontaneously in such situations but might also be planned in other cases. Whatever it is, it reveals a less attractive side of Dapplekit's personality. The young cat is also often very impulsive and follows their feelings and whims without thinking any further, whereas other cats might pause to reflect on the consequences or implications of an action. The fact that Dapplekit also isn't particularly patient with themselves, other cats, or situations doesn't make this much better. The young cat jumps from one situation into the next and from one problem or drama to the next. Often they get themselves into trouble by not fully thinking things through. Especially when Dapplekit has to wait for something, or things don't go the way they would like them to, they might end up making the situation worse through ill-considered actions, rather than improving it, simply because they didn't want to wait any longer or haven't thought far enough for some other reason. The same applies to situations where the young cat is in distress. Under pressure, Dapplekit often reacts quickly or takes actions that are not necessarily expedient or, in the worst case, can be dangerous, even though they have intelligence on par with their clanmates.

A more positive side to Dapplekit's personality is their almost inexhaustible enthusiasm and energy. When they don't feel like they're not getting enough attention, the young cat is almost always on the move, cheerful, and seems to be enthusiastic about everything. Whether it's a piece of fresh kill, a beautiful stone, or an exciting story, Dapplekit is sure to find something great about it. When they are doing well in this respect, they immediately appear far less self-centered and egoistic. The enthusiasm that they can then share for other things, cats, or their stories sometimes seems downright infectious. When there's no attention deficit, Dapplekit is friendly and open towards other cats. They enjoy talking to others and often manage to take the first step when it comes to interactions with others. Doing things together with others or getting to know them and having conversations comes naturally to the young cat, and Dapplekit can be unexpectedly charismatic and eloquent. In the end, they do care about the cats around them and when young they're doing well, listening to them is not a problem. They have a genuine interest in the cats around them and treat them with empathy - apart from a certain impatience that they find very difficult to put aside. Then Dapplekit can even take a step back for a moment and not push himself into the center of attention. But when they feel like their perspective is not taken into consideration or they are not getting enough attention anymore ... the whole thing can quickly turn sour again and suddenly the young cat might resort to other means to gain attention and boost their self-confidence again. A large part of Dapplekit's repeatedly problematic behavior towards others ultimately stems from their lack of self-confidence and self-esteem. Even when the young cat does their best to cover up their insecurities from the outside world, they often have doubts as to whether they can make a valuable contribution to clan life with their abilities. When things don't go well for them, or they get in trouble because of an impulsive decision, they often blame themselves and are afraid of being a burden or at least not an asset to other cats, their family, or the clan. The young tortoiseshell cat tries to compensate for all this with their attention-seeking behavior. However, this often leads to them getting in even more trouble for themselves or others, and they might end up not feeling accepted by others as they are, but rather as they pretend to be. That's also a reason why Dapplekit usually resorts less to manipulative tactics when they're doing well and feel seen by others. However, when this is not the case, they sometimes quickly find themselves in a mix of problematic compensation mechanisms that usually reinforce the problem rather than solve it.
