Rose and mary were formerly one person named rosemary. Rosemary annabell crowley was the youngest daughter of the prestigious crowley family who were basically modern nobility. She grew up with proper manners being drilled into her. Her parents were rather distant so she found herself alone very often.
After being possessed by spirits she split in two. They are still technically the same person and can share their thoughts and feelings. They live alone in a fancy house.
