The unfortunate Zircon, who has to deal with gems in the worst time of their lives, divorces. Flax is the Empire’s resident divorce attorney that breaks off marriage contracts put in place by Flax’s co-worker, Goldenrod Zircon. He’s a very skittish gem who is generally quite bad at dealing with intense emotions, so during work he often has to have another gem in the room more suited to deal with them. He’s gotten a sweet pearl, Blue Lilac Pearl, to stand in as the emotional support for all his clients.

- Flax is actually corrupted, the horns and tail are due to the stress his job gives him, however his eyes and screens are a natural off-coloration.
- He doesn’t have the status to own a pearl so the pearl he has working for him is technically a court attendant instead of a personal one.
- He REFUSES to do anymore divorces involving Pyropes, so any Pyropes that are married are gonna have to go to Dusty Bixbite herself if they want anything done.
- Legally, he’s married to Goldenrod for “tax benefits”, but he actually loves her, but she doesn’t, so it’s a one-sided love.
