Introduction

As a person... Espen is a rather friendly, easy-going sort of person with a reasonable and simplistic demeanor. Not one to take the world too serious, he enjoys the small things and doesn't worry much about things that shouldn't be of concern. While he certainly can take something seriously, he tries to avoid situations in which he has to go through hoops to fix something that shouldn't have even happened anyway. He's the sort of man who likes to kick back on his days off and relax, take a small stroll through a local market or enjoy small hobbies of his from reading to his favorite television shows. He is big on the creativity, being a traveling showman, it means he has to get creative from time to time in order to keep wowing the crowd. However, he finds the business quite rewarding and enjoys doing various performances all over the region to captivate the hearts of the people, often times his shows involve a heavy amount of storytelling elements with flashy visuals thanks to the help of the various Pokemon he has on rotation with him. Because of this, he also is quite big on dressing up and cosplay, so it's not uncommon to see him in some kind of flashy outfit that wouldn't exactly fit in with the modern day era he resides in. Needless to say, he's well known for being quite charismatic and defintely the sort to catch an eye in order to keep his little side business going and alive.

It all started when... Espen initially set off on his journey a lot like most. A young child with big dreams to become one of the best, so he didn't actually begin life as a breeder, more so the typical path of a league challenger was his primary goals in life. For many years he traveled across the various regions finding new opponents, challenging gyms and even taking part in the league tournaments. While he never made any top end placements, he got relatively far in a good handful. This made him a pretty competent battler, one could consider him in the range of being above average, but not necessarily advanced or elite either. While he can hold his own pretty well, he isn't the strongest either. However, after some time his eventual goals shifted and he found himself seeking somewehat of a more laid back, easy life. Due to this Espen found himself taking up Pokemon Breeding as a main occupation, but adding onto it he also decided to settle into a more interesting line of work where he traveled around the region putting on various shows for the people. Guess even after his "retirement" from being a league challenger he found himself still enjoying being in the limelight.
