Jun is an aspiring movie actor, who after being given the chance of starring in a promising film, ends up losing himself in his new role.
Very stoic and closeted, he suffers from depression and trauma after his father's sudden death. Having no one and nothing else, acting becomes his life's only purpose and a form of escape from his unfortunate past. Starring mostly in medicore small-earning roles he still takes his job very professionally, and soon enough starts getting notice from bigger producers.
Finally, he's picked by a major film studio, receiving an invitation to a casting for a background role in an upcoming thriller. Uncertain of his own abilities he still decides to give it a try, and giving his best performance he wins the contest with little to no trouble, blowing away the director himself. However, after being discussed over by the impressed staff, Jun is instead asked to star as the main character - a ruthless murderer. Certain that this is his life's changing event, Jun soon takes on the preparation for his upcoming performance.
Jun immediately starts spending his days and nights learning the whole script and reiterating his lines, as he soon develops an unhealthy obsession with the new role.
Everything starts from him doing research on criminal minds, into fully blown method acting. His daily routines, hobbies and even personality traits start changing drastically without him even noticing. His life, both professional and personal, starts aligning itself with that of his fictional counter-part's. He becomes more and more engrossed in the mind of the character he's supposed to play, gradually losing his own self on the way.
As the first day of the shot finally arrives, the Jun who appears on the set is a completely different person, than the socially awkward newbie, who not so long ago took part in the casting contest. Overly confident and having perfectly mastered the art of becoming his new character, Jun easily steals the hearts of the movie crew with his outstanding performances, earning infinite amounts of praise and prestige, before the film production's end approaches.
Unfortunately, as perfect as his performances seem to be, it's still not enough for Jun. In the process of further indulging in his role, he commits his first actual murder...
