Ikaia lives deep within Mt. Lanakila with his grandma and his sister(though his sister spends more time in the city). He’s a great survivalist and tends to guide people who get lost in the mountains(the amount he has to do this triples as the alolan league opens).

He’s been pretty secluded most of his life, since he’s never left Alola, and rarely leaves the mountain. So his gran decided that it's time for him to get out and see the world a bit. He’s too old for the island challenge, so the league seemed like a good bet!
