Líswen is a Moon Mage illusionist, and one of the Moonshadow Elders living at the Silvergrove.

Líswen's mother, Isewyn, was one of the Healers of the Silvergrove, while her father, Athran, was a craftman. From her mother, Líswen learnt how to use medecinal herbs, although her heart rather leaned towards magic. This is how she became the apprentice of Tannivh, one of the Elders and the most renowned Mage of the Silvergrove, while she was only 11 years old. With Tannivh, Líswen learnt to master the art of illusions, alongside Tannivh's daughter Kavis, as well as another apprentice which would later become one of the Guardians of the Moon Nexus.

Later, when the Startouch Arch Mage Aaravos's treachery was exposed, the most talented Mages were convied to help Xadian Leaders to arrest him. Kavis, who meanwhile reached herself the title of Elders, helped to seal away this deceiver, as well as imprisoning his wife, Servi, guilted as complicit of his crimes. But the couple had a child, and a council was helded, reuniting Elders of all Elven Nations to decide of his fate.

Líswen, who was also named as one of the Elders, participated into this council, besides Kavis. While Kavis argued that the child should be imprisoned like his parents, Líswen believed that, if a chance was given to him, this child could become a good person. Líswen proposed to raise Feylan by herself, in exhange for silence about his true origins. Líswen herself gave a new name for him: Feylan, which was the name of one of her beloved grandparents.

Officially, it was announced that Feylan was found by chance in the Moonshadow forest, once Líswen was gathering some medicinal plants. But the Startouch Elves being exceptionally rares and reputed to be terrifically powerful were source of fear, especially after all the evil committed by the Fallen Star. Moreover, it was suspicious that the child was found just little after his arrestation. Many were opposed to accept Feylan among the community. As one of the Elders, Tannivh was one of the fews to be informed of Feylan's lineage. Although Tannivh disagreed with Líswen's decision, he decided to give a chance for his wise former apprentice.

Feylan grew up at the Silvergrove, and Líswen, who was never inclined into building a family, raised him, and loved him, as if he was her own son. Líswen taught Feylan everything she knew about Moon Magic, even though he himself was born with the Star Primal Source. Eventually, Feylan learnt to build a connection with the Moon Arcanum. At last, he was able to do Moon Magic.

The years went by and everyone got older. The day came when Tannivh breathed his last. Shortly after Tannivh's death, disputes about Feylan's arrival resurfaced and rumours spread more widely through the village, claiming that Feylan is related to Aaravos. The origin of these rumours came in fact from Kavis herself, and the truth was revealed, after being hidden for decades. Faced with the fear and anger of the villagers, Feylan was forced to leave the village. Líswen, furious after Kavis, but also refusing to abandon her son, decided to leave with him. Together they settled in a small house in the Moonshadow forest, where one of Liswen's old friends, and former apprentice to Tannivh, lived, before becoming the Guardian of the Moon Nexus. The house was hidden thanks to a concealing spell.

Líswen lived alone with Feylan until old age took her in turn.
