Catrys Antiqua
About
Unknowingly born of the Queens' love for each other, Catrys is an anomaly even among those born into the cycle. She came from a pod located in the City, thankfully, but even still, she received no shortage of odd looks from those around her. Of course, she knew this was because of her Kevesi and Agnian traits; no one person should bear both, after all.
She tended to keep to herself because of this, but upon meeting Ouroboros at Michiba Canteen, she decided to travel with them and offer her healing skills. She made this decision because of a strange sense of kinship she felt with Mio and because she, like them, was an outlier in their world.

The way plantlife exists and can thrive far beyond 10 years fascinates her, especially that in Maktha Lowlands.
Reading
She enjoys history books, in particular, but also stories of fantasy worlds entirely unlike her own.
Embroidery
It's a nice way to relax after a long day, and being able to make things for people she cares about is a big plus.
Theatre
Especially plays of her favorite stories. It's a way to get out and enjoy something knowing everyone else there will be, too.

Exercise
It took her a long time to get into the habit of training, and she feels she isn't any good at it.
Spicy Foods
She doesn't understand the desire to be in pain while you're eating. She doesn't see spice as a flavor, instead calling it a feeling.
Fighting
She's not particularly strong, instead preferring to stay in the back and keep her allies up. She doesn't enjoy the sight of blood.
Politics
The feuding between the Six Noble Houses in the City really bothers her, and she wishes they could just get along.

Summary
Born in the City from a cradle rescued from Keves, Catrys always feared what little she would accomplish in the 10 years granted to her. Growing up around people who could live to about 10 times that age made her keenly aware of her limited opportunities; though she didn't want to be widely known, she wanted to experience all she could. However, she feared leaving the safety the City offered. Because of this, she instead sought to learn all she could about the world outside through books. She was satisfied this way for a while, but upon reaching her 6th term and realizing she was past halfway through her life, she started keeping an eye out for chances to leave; it didn't take long for her to discover joining the military was the best chance she'd get.
A year passed of Catrys' daily training, and though she wasn't entirely satisfied with her combat abilities, she realized there wasn't much more she could do on her own. When she went to apply to join the armed forces, she heard of Guernica Vandham's passing, accompanied by rumors of 6 soldiers, 3 from Keves and 3 from Agnus, becoming Ouroboros with their sights set on making it to the City. After about 2 months, they arrived, joined by an Agnian commander. Catrys had never been very social, but she was determined to meet them; as one who seemed to come from both Keves and Agnus herself, she wanted to join them in their fight against Moebius. If anything could give her a chance to experience the world, it would be that.
Michiba Canteen
Only a day after Ouroboros arrived, Catrys, treating herself to a breakfast other than two eggs and a piece of toast, was approached by an Agnian with pale silver hair and a core crystal much like her own. She seemed to think Catrys looked lonely and offered to let her sit with her group. Ordinarily, Catrys would decline, stating that she never had a problem being alone. However, this Agnian's group seemed to consist of 3 Kevesi and 4 Agnians; in other words, this could be Ouroboros. So, she agreed.
Joining Ouroboros
The Agnian that had come over to her introduced herself as Mio, and the others at the table all gave their introductions in kind. Catrys sat between Mio and Juniper, and though she struggled to keep the conversation flowing at first, she quickly got into a good rhythm, speaking mainly with the two at her sides. When she told Mio she was an experienced healer—a lie, but Catrys had been training for quite some time— Mio asked if she wanted to join their group, just as Catrys had hoped. Though Mio apologized for being so abrupt, Noah, who Catrys had assumed to be Mio's partner, chimed in, saying they could use all the help they could get. Catrys, of course, agreed.
On their travels, Catrys found Mio was the easiest to talk to, and the two quickly grew to be as close as sisters. Mio inspired Catrys to come out of her shell and take better care of herself, and Catrys encouraged Mio to talk about how she was feeling. They complimented each other well, and throughout their travels, they remained each other's closest confidant.
Trivia
- She doesn't joke around often, but when she does, she does so with a straight face and it can be hard to tell if she is joking. Juniper, Mio, and, later, the Queens can tell, while Noah and most others can't.
- She has an accent very similar to Nia's, but a tone like Melia's.
- She is ambidextrous!
- While she doesn't take great care of herself before meeting Mio and co, her space is always clean and tidy.

Nia
Meeting Nia was strange for her, as Nia looked at Mio fondly and then turned to her and looked absolutely shocked. Catrys wasn't sure why but attributed it to her wings and ears. Eventually, when Nia spoke with Mio and told her the truth about their relationship, she explained to Catrys afterward how she felt about the Queen of Keves and that Catrys was probably their daughter... somehow. Catrys enjoys spending time with her but thinks Nia seems more hesitant to do so than Melia.
Melia
Meeting Melia, on the other hand, went more smoothly once she had been freed from Z's grasp. Melia knew all that had happened between Catrys and Nia, so when she met her daughter directly, she embraced her and thanked her for assisting Noah and the others. When they travel together, Catrys notices that Melia always seems to be looking out for her, often taking the initiative to get to know her better.
Juniper
Juniper was very kind to Catrys when they first met, offering her just enough space so that she'd be comfortable but also enough interaction that she never felt she was being ignored. It didn't take long for Catrys to develop feelings for them, and when she told them how she felt, she was shocked when they said they felt the same. When they learned Catrys was the daughter of the two Queens, instead of fearing what might happen as she did, they reassured her that it would be okay and she would find a place in whichever world she wound up in, just as she had here.
