Caspar

A troublemaker and a genius mechanic despite his age. Born to two Final parents, Caspar has been awaiting the day his own manifests - but it never came. Now ten years past manifest age, he goes to stay with his uncle at the Wizard Hall while his parents are out of town - only to have his uncle called out on business. Under the care of the less-than-enthused 40th Wizard, Mark, Caspar has perhaps a bit more roam of the place than he should. Of course his final powers manifest while he's there.

With light-based abilities, Caspar is able to phase himself into literal photons. This is both really cool and incredibly dangerous. After trapping himself in this form, he zips around trying to find people to help him, breaks physics, causes a paradox, and lands himself about thirty years in the past.

Caspar is very witty unless he's tired, when he devolves into a barely-comprehensible babbling mess. He tries to be cautious about his true identity, especially considering his parents aren't even dating yet. His hobbies include trying to dodge personal questions and fucking with his past self in the future by setting up "easter eggs." This explains a lot of the weird shit that happened in his childhood.
