Ideas: Normal teenage kid, went out for a walk in a forest but accidentally wandered too far from home, encountered a glowing rock and decided to touch it, grew bright, glowing green horns and the purple gloves and socks he had been wearing fused with his skin, sometimes his paws start to melt and that scares him
