He tries his best to appear cool and important, but in reality he's kinda lame...he makes awful puns and isn't good at expressing himself. Tends to be direct and honest, so he ends up saying whatever comes to mind first without filtering it. This can often cause people to take the things he says the wrong way. He has a short temper and tends to get defensive easily. He's well known for being impulsive and jumping into things without thinking, though most of the time it comes from him being very selfless deep down. When it comes to his job, he takes his work very seriously and would rather not be disturbed when focused in order to avoid mistakes. He is so dedicated to his studies and battling that he doesn't really find much time to think about hobbies!
He grew up in Cascaraffa with his mother, who is a busy businesswoman in Port Marinada and his two younger brothers, both students at Paldea's academy.
He also studied in Paldea's academy, but he changed his area of study around before sticking to biology. He was known to be a bit of a problem student due to getting into fights frequently and skipping class. Despite this he had high grades and is regarded as one of the smartest (and strongest, in terms of pokemom battling!) students the academy has had. He tutored students often out of his own kindness, though he wouldn't admit that.
He moved to Unova for an internship opportunity at Nacrene Museum after he found himself in need of space from home. After experiencing extreme burnout, he returned to Paldea and continues to study pokemon genetic evolution, sometimes helping with progress on the pokedex.
He would be the one to help the player character with fossil resurrection in the Paldea region! He gained certification for fossil resurrection while in Unova.
His team changes often depending on work circumstances. However, his most common team consists of Talonflame (ace), Arcanine, Volcarona, and Krookodile. He also has an archeops that followed him from his Nacrene Museum days, though it is never used for battle!
