Intergalactic Freedom Fighters

The Intergalactic Freedom Fighters (IFF) are an organisation of aliens, who fight space pirates and other criminal alien organizations. The IFF was founded by Professor Awrag with his friends Arun Thradvir junior and two other aliens. The cause was the murder of Awrag’s wife Jeedania by a well-known pirate, leaving him in the care of their only toddler daughter. After a few years, Arun and the other two departed from the organisation for private reasons. Awrag didn’t mind that, because he knew that his friends had other responsibilities. Especially Arun, because he is the heir of a company’s CEO on his home planet Escarion.

After a major accident with space pirates, who are led by a powerful alien, the ship was unable to fly and stranded on a tropical planet. Awrag met Vijaya, the younger sister of his old friend Arun. The IFF members wanted to kill her, because she was part of the same group of space pirates, who wrecked their ship. But Awrag spared her life and believed her story that she got lied to by those pirates who pretended to be just space travellers. Vijaya continued her work as a mechanic at the Intergalactic Freedom Fighters, but Awrag trained her in secret the mastering of swordsmanship, because he saw huge potential in her.

Many years after Vijaya joined the IFF, a massive incident with space pirates happened. This was also a dark day for the IFF, Professor Awrag got shot dead by a laser cannon. Vijaya, who tried to save his life, got severely injured, almost losing her life as well. After a long coma, a surgery on her spine to save her from permanently paralyzed and several weeks of physiotherapy, Vijaya took the place of the leader after Awrag’s will. Lieutenant Kaelez took the lead while Vijaya wasn't able to. 

Since Vijaya’s lead, the reputation and success of the Intergalactic Freedom Fighters skyrocketed. The young Escarian woman being good at tactics, solving problems and her will to fight for justice is the main reason. 

Headquarters:

The original headquarters of the IFF were on a desert moon named Yegluna. This is the planet where the IFF got found on. Later, the headquarters moved onto the main ship of the Intergalactic Freedom Fighters under Vijaya’s lead. Besides the mothership, the IFF has several factions, who have much smaller ships. The mothership has an approximate size of 5.200m x 3000m, is heavily armored and has a large amount of laser cannons. The power source of the ship is a cyan-colored power core in the shape of a prism with a hexagonal base. No one, except Awrag, knows the exact source of energy, what is compressed in this power prism.

Uniform:

All IFF members are wearing uniforms. The uniform consists of a plum colored top with golden rims/ornaments and diamond shaped buttons. Beneath the uniform top, most members wear a turtleneck sweater made of a special material, which serves like an armor. White loose pants are tucked into knee high plain black boots. A black belt with a rectangular golden buckle with a diamond ornament is also part of the uniform. Some members have attached accessoires, like an additional belt for a rifle or sword sheath.

Ranks can be distinguished by golden stripes on the epaulettes on the shoulders. Only one member of the IFF has four stripes, meaning to be the leader. The second-in-command has three stripes. Sargeants have two stripes. Regular soldiers have one stripe. Rookies and newly joined members have no stripes on their epaulettes.

The only exceptions for not wearing an uniform are Awrag and his daughter Eni. Awrag has worn a coat, which was also his lab coat. But it had attached epaulettes to show his rank as leader. Eni wears a white lab coat over her yellow dress.
