mysterious bog dweller who inherited her late mother's neuroses.lives alone in the woods of salem, terrifies travellers, pretty much assumed to be a cryptid because ppl don't realise she's just a slightly nuts lady living her blair witch dreams. totally harmless. mostly. sometimes. lol jk she's nice. unless....
history
grew up close with her younger sister marlene, always very protective of her. their mother had a tough life and drank a lot. would often ramble about the animals and wasteland creatures trying to speak to her through the ether and such. jane was convinced she was just old and crazy until she died and suddenly the same thing started happening to her. left and started living alone in salem; whether she was following the voices or trying to escape them is unknown to her.
likes
nature (i mean obvs her hair is basically growing moss at this point), clay and ceramics, little trinkets, talismans and weird jewelry, radstags (she feels most connected to them of all animals), herbalism for a lot of purposes
dislikes
99% of men, being bothered, but also her lonesomeness, electric lights, garbage and waste (gathers it wherever she finds it in the woods/streams and throws it back into the nearest town LOL), sweet things (wouldnt drink a nuka cola if she was dying of thirst LOL)
appearance
she's like six feet tall, angular stringbean build. looks kind of how you'd imagine a feral forest woman would look. ginger hair, very long, straight, usually kinda.. damp... often has some kind of moss or twigs/leaves stuck in it. heterochromia, one eye blue and one green, but it's hard to tell. her skin is usually pale because she spends a lot of time in the dark. when the sun is out she wears large fashionable sunglasses because her eyes are so sensitive to light, for the same reason. wears a lot of layers, seems to only wear dark colours but it's probably just the dirt.... also covered in unique jewelery and charms of all kinds, can literally hear her approaching because they clink when she walks LOL
etc
although she hasn't seen marlene in years, she does rituals for her health and happiness as part of her daily routine.
basically has the animal friend/wasteland whisperer perk; animals don't flee from nor attack her, they just coexist somehow.
is not actually feral, pretty smart, owns a machine gun and will use it.
makes all sorts of tinctures and potions and shit, most of it works too. sells them to a few select people.
kind of enjoys how people think she haunts the woods. she's just chilling in there and ppl are TERRIFIED.
