They work as an assistant to the head researcher of plushes and souls. That researcher is also their loving father and the one who designed the plush their own soul became tied with after the change. It was a gift for them when they were a little boy.

They're just as interested in the work their father is doing just as much as he is, and both can spends all night working on it together. They've always had been interested in the sciences and when they discovered they had the ability to transform with their plush then they immediately begin to look into it. When at home they can often be found in a labcoat and working on something but they still like to go out and look at new skirts to buy. The nickname Cutie is what most people call them after someone misspoke when saying their name, ever since they've loved the nickname and often have friends call them that.
