Marley

She’s an otter that was skittish about a ton of things, one being foxes. She tends to cry a lot as she experiences terrible stomach aches. Once you get to know her she’s very friendly and talkative. She’s very affectionate towards Maxwell and just his presence makes her feel safe and happy.

A female pup was born one day in the nursery. She was a very shy otter and loved to do her own thing. She tried to get along with the others when she wasn’t hiding. She enjoyed when it was meal time alway the first or one of the first to get her paws on some grub. She was given the name Marley from her parents. When she got old enough to do many things she loved being outside. She loved playing in the grass and studying her surroundings and others who inhabit the area. When it was dark out she would sneak out of the nursery and would watch the stars twinkle in the air as she was astonished by how they twinkled and moved in the air. When studying she thought she would be perfect to be a scientist of the clan as she enjoyed biology.

One night she wanted to roam the forest as she wanted to get on a hill in the forest to be higher up for the stars. She had a telescope as she went. She felt hungry as she moved. She took some chopped up salmon out of her pockets and ate it as she started to hear giggling. “Huh? W-who goes there” the shadows just said “look what we go here. An otter? This is gonna be fun!” the shadows got closer as she took steps back. More shadows came as they circled her; they were foxes. “W-what do y-you want from me?!” They just laugh, not giving her a clue as she hugs her telescope. One of the foxes rips the telescope out of her hands and threw it from the side as another foxes uses his claws and scratched her in the arm and she tried to fight back knocking out one by tackling them into a tree but there was to many two grabbed her arms as another one slowly and painfully used its claw and cut her stomach open. Her eyes turned a whitish color as she screamed for help from the other otters as the foxes ripped her intestines out and started chewing on them and ripped her stomach out and cut it open and so much more as well as also damaging her legs and ripping at one of her ears. Once they were done with her they ran off leaving her for dead as she laid there hyperventilating as she closed her eyes she heard warrior otters talking as she felt them grab her and bring her to the hospital. They put something to knock her out completely as they started to rearrange her insides and fix her up. Once they had fixed her to the best of their abilities the nurses put something to help her breath as she started to wake up she was in pain as she was scared that those foxes were here. The nurse came and reassured her as they told her that she will be fine but to take the pills if she's in agonizing pain. She got back on her feet as she was sad about what had occurred. She went to the General to talk to him as she wanted to become a scientist just so she had something to do to keep her mind off the pain she was in. He lets her as long as she trains with a professional till she's good at it. He chose Maxwell (a higher up overworking scientist) to teach her the ropes as he does so.

Maxwell started to teach her how to use some tech as she was very interested in it until she heard the lunch time bell “Come one Maxwell! It’s lunch time!!” she said in glee as she was starving “I'm fine go without me I’m not hungry” Maxwell was to go into his work to go so well eating she saved some food for him. When eating her food she felt sick as she cried not wanting to eat anymore she went down as she wanted to give Max his food as she grabs her pill and pours at least six in her hand. Maxwell stops her before she can have them. '`6 pills?!” he said, worried as he didn't want her to hurt herself from taking too many. He takes four of them away and puts them back as the two are given to her as he gives her a bottle of water. “I'll give you the pills for now alright bud?” Marley said alright as she knew he was just doing this to keep her safe. She handed Maxwell the food she had gotten for him upstairs. He adjusts his glasses “ Huh? You brought me something?” Maxwell was confused as his colleagues never brought him food. ‘Yeah I found some foods you really like and I know you weren't hungry but working will build up an appetite sooner than later. Maxwell’s tail wagged as he thanked her. She noticed as the two worked that Maxwell would talk to the rat that the otters had in a little glass cage. She asked Maxwell what was the rat’s name as he jumped. He told her that the rat’s name was Benji and that Benji isn’t like an ordinary rat as Benji was his best friend. He tells her that she can help take care of Benji too since he isn’t hard working and he trusts her. Soon enough she would take care of Benji when Maxwell was away. Benji would talk to her as he would comfort her if she was sad about something or needed to talk to someone. She would clean his cage, put new hay, clean his wheel and get him more water. She had asked why Benji wants to live in the cage and why he chooses to be a lab rat. He told her that he rather keep the otters safe as he’d risk his life on the experiments and with the cage he just likes being in a cage and tells her that he can come out of it at any time of the day just to lazy to do so as he goes in her pocket and fell asleep. Months well working she was starting to gain feelings for Maxwell. Maxwell was smart, funny, and was serious times. Well working on a robotic piece Maxwell came up to her his face a little red well holding something behind his back. “M-Marley I um… I want to give you these” he pulls out the flowers that were behind him. He tells her that she has been so nice to him for the past months and that she was a very pretty otter. He asked if the two could try and date. Maxwell got embarrassed as his face was now completely red. She said sure as her tail wagged and her face turned completely red as she hugged him. From that day forward Maxwell would show her his interest that he would get into. He would even grab one of the blankets he had made and the two would climb to the rock and watch the stars till Marley fell asleep. She felt much safer from the dangers she feared but around Maxwell she felt like he could save her. One time the two played a game of hide and seek. Marley hid well and couldn’t be found for hours. She would stay quiet even if Maxwell after two hours would tell her just to come out and that he gives up. She only came out when she heard benji calling her name and was Maxwell was crying. She hugged him and gave him a fruit she found well hiding. They never played hide and seek after that. One day as she was working with Maxwell she started to feel the pain come back as Maxwell calms her down and gets her pills and after that day he came back with a sweater that can help her.

She still works as a scientist as she helps Maxwell with taking care of Benji. She still is in pain no matter how many attempts of making her better. She also had heard many things about a pretty bird that Maxwell hates and when she saw him for the first time she was confused why people call him a pretty bird and she doesn’t have some insults about him that she tells Maxwell. She also refuses to room the dark forest near Mori lake leading to a stream.
