Backstory: Boxing was a huuuge deal in Mitsuru's household growing up. Her dad was a coach and avid watcher of the sport, and her mom also found it exciting and entertaining to watch people bean each other with cartoonish gloves. Naturally, Mitsuru kept the family interest going and started to learn how to box and train at the age of 9. She's fairly good at the sport and incorporates dance into her techniques to both dodge and confuse her opponent. She grew up in Kanto, where she'd spend most of her time training, looking at trends from other regions, and dancing alone in her room. She met Casimiro when she was 11 and he was 13. He had come to Kanto on one of the bi monthly visits to see family. The two became friends based on their mutual athleticism, with Miro noticing her carrying her boxing gloves and walking beside her Tyrogue one day. He knew a tough person when he saw one and challenged her to a battle. Mitsuru, who didn't really care about battles, humored him only because she thought he was cute and was curious to see his team. He ended up beating her, but Miro was unsatisfied with the victory and asked if they could box instead. She clobbered him easily, and his loss both amazed and fired him up. He promised he'd get stronger to give her a real challenge someday while she tended to the bruises on his face. The two would keep in touch through letters when Miro would return to Paldea. Years down the road when the two hit 27 and 29 respectively, they got married in Kanto. It was a sweet little celebration with their families and Mitsuru decided to move out to Paldea, much to the dismay of her family that would miss her dearly. She still visits them bi-monthly when Miro and his folks go. She's opened up a boxing studio in Paldea and teaches boxing to all ages! 

Personality: Mitsuru is very quiet and usually gets to the point when she talks. Her quiet nature often leads people to think she's shy or a ditz, but she's not all that shy and very attentive. Being so quiet gives her the benefit of listening to gossip and she tends to retain most of the juicy things she overhears when she's acting like a statue. Even though she's able to remember most gossip, she has a hard time remembering people's names and usually ends up giving people a nickname based on a noticeable trait of theirs. (For the longest time she called Miro, Band-Aids) Growing up sustaining many boxing injuries, Mitsuru has a good grasp of first aid and is quick to help others when they're injured. You can also count on her to carry potions for injured Pokémon and she'll gladly give you some if you need them. She has a monotone voice, but a great sense of humor and loves to have a good laugh. She's also weak to cute things and collects small phone charms and other cute Pokémon items. She's especially enthusiastic of mascot Pokémon and mascots in general, and likes to take photos with them for a scrapbook she keeps. She doesn't really like violence outside of the boxing ring, which is why she's not really into Pokémon battles all that much. She supports her husband and his love for battling, though, so long as he makes sure to take his Pokémon to the centers to heal up and take care of himself too with wild Pokémon. She can be a little snarky, but this mostly comes out with family or people close to her.

Trivia: 

- She knows some English and Spanish.

- She’s easily startled by loud noises/people and jumps whenever she hears such.

- She sucks at cooking.

- She has anxiety during winter because of cold and flu season. She hates getting sick. She wears medical masks during these times.

- She has two missing teeth from boxing and wears falsies. 

- Her Grandbull is named Grunt after the dog from Flashdance

- Despite boxing being her favorite/main sport Mitsuru also likes to watch other sports, she may not understand some very well but she loves the energy. 

- She keeps first aid items in her fanny pack.

- She used to be teased for her buff arms but she grew to love them after making some fellow buff lady friends at the gym.

- She likes oldies music.

- It takes a lot to piss Mitsuru off, but mistreating your Pokémon and others is the sure fire way to get uppercut by her.

- Her favorite types of Pokémon are Fairy types and Bug types

- She tends to wear loose fitting clothes cause she likes to dress comfy.

- She considers the Subway Bosses mascots because of their goofy looks and has a photo with them in her mascot scrapbook.
