Origin: 

Darksyde is a daughter of the Moon family on Frieza’s home planet. To balance out part of her family's "debt" to the royal tyrants, King Cold - and Frieza, after Cold's retirement - took Darksyde into his employ. Since then, Darksyde has often been been too occupied with busy work and the occasional “clean-up” mission to visit home. She herself has deadly grace similar to the notorious icejins, but not nearly to the same level of raw power. She is also not allowed to use her powered-up forms unless she is performing solo missions or training with Frieza’s trusted subordinates… Or God forbid, Frieza himself. As a result, she tends to have a no-nonsense attitude. Darksyde isn't completely unamiable, but given the nature of the type of business Frieza runs, she doesn't get too close to anyone. In general, she doesn’t particularly care to hurt people. Seeing as she’s forced to do it when Frieza orders her to, she’s become stone-faced and resigned, effectively numbed but still very unhappy by the things she has to do.

Darksyde is one of the few whose power levels can keep up with the power levels of the Ginyu Force. Even Frieza himself invited Darksyde to join their number, though it was more of a joke or an extremely tentative ‘what-if’. She was hesitant, to say the least. She still trains with them regularly despite this.

Her opinions on them are as follows:
- Ginyu is a good leader, though his priorities and emphasis on frivolous displays like dancing or posing sometimes frustrate her. But hey, if they’re able to get the job done, maybe she needs to take a note out of their book. She holds respect for him.
- Burter’s competitive streak and need to be ‘fast’ can be irritating to Darksyde. He can be such a frat boy sometimes! Despite this, it’s not a complete turn-off for her. He has his moments of insight.
- Jeice is similar to Burter in terms of attitude, but somehow more flamboyant. … Darksyde secretly wants to feel his hair but doesn’t want to be weird about it, so she’s content to watch him make a fool out of himself.
- Guldo relies too much on his special ability for Darksyde’s tastes, although she tries her best to not be on the receiving end of any tricks he might pull. His penchant to be lazy doesn’t impress her that much either.
- Recoome, despite being a goofy meat-headed jock, has the rare ability to make Darksyde laugh from her gut. Besides that, his optimism and surprising insightfulness caught Darksyde off-guard. He’s become a nice reprieve from her daily life and she may even have feelings for him.
