Aeon is an optimistic lover of watches and gears who tries his best to see the best in people. While he can come across as scatterbrained and clumsy- he's very intelligent-especially when it comes to mathematics and engineering. He's also fond of herbology- though admittedly, not very good at it (he likes looking at plants more than the heartbreak of trying to grow them...). He can be a bit naiive at times, and trust others blindly, which gets him into problems on occasion.  He's certainly book smart- though not street smart, and manipulating him isn't very difficult. 

He tends to be easily distracted and doesn't always adapt well to change, preferring the predictability of a routine and people he feels comfortable with. Because he's a stranger from another world, and survive through the kindness of those around him, he has a great wish to do good and repay the 'debts' he owes them for their generosity in teaching him about the world. As such, he hates to idle around or feel like he isn't being useful in some way.

Aeon showed up as a stranger to a small village outside the alchemist's guild, lost and confused in a strange land. He was taken in by the people there, who helped to teach him of their world and how to contribute to it. He quickly took to mathematics and engineering, along with repairing watches and timepieces. While he does this formally- he often helps the villagers with their various contraptions and problems where he is able and assuming they want his help; since he's sometimes very clumsy and can make a bigger problem by accident.

While his knowledge is ambitious...he himself isn't. He's perfectly happy in this life and doesn't really strive to go other places. He just wants to build new things, and repay those who gave him the chance for a calm and peaceful life.
