ETYMOLOGY
希  (xī - hope) and 樂 (yuè - music)
nickname is 樂樂 (lèlè, because 樂 can also be read as lè, meaning happy)
since lèlè isn't a sound that's pronounced in japanese, it's localized to LALA, which is both their stage name and general nickname (it sounds like singing!)
