The strange, enigmatic fourth (youngest) son of the Ataraxian monarch.

A nonchalant, expressionless man who is the epitome of 'go with the flow'. With poor health and terrible hand-eye coordination, Nephythys was forced into General Studies arather the military at a young age. He's suited for it - incredibly intelligent, uncharacteristically shrewed and quick-thinking, townspeople often say if he were born in another body, he would be a legendary general. Coming off as cold and callous, N is adamant in keeping his emotions shadowed by his vast carelessness. For him - it is a battle strategy in the war of mundanity.

Dominated by logic, Nephythys doesn't understand the push and pull of emotions, and can often be difficult to sway. Present him with a strong argument, however, and he'll consider. He has an unusually strong moral compass, but its is dwarfed by his icy pragmaticism.

• Insect Manipulation: Like a total creep Nephthys can communicate with and weaponise insects.
• Magic: N has a slightly above average mana reserve. Often uses talismans for defence. He has devised a unique incantation that allows Axel to grow to the size of an anaconda, or shrink to the size of a rat.

Secretly his favourite sibling, Nephthys has always been closer with Pheynix than with their two elder brothers. Although begrudging of his prodigal swordfighting, N admires his audacity and bravery, as well as his free spirit. Their time together is often spent visiting strange, exciting places nobody has ever ventured, and is one of the rare, gilded moments where Nephthys allows his dormant emotions to emerge. N was the only one Pheynix informed before his departure for Vespia.

After the dissemination of the Ataraxia Empire it is Nephthys that frees Nebuki from imprisonment. N resonates with his inherent morality and their love for Fay brings them together - as well as their resolve in bringing him back from the brinks of depravity. Nephthys appreciates the steady balance Nebuki strikes between battle and strategy; they can dabble in military strategies for hours on end. Nebuki never teases him for his physical ineptitude - of which he is also glad for. Sometimes wishes Nebuki was his elder brother and not Gilgamesh.

Nephthys has never gotten along with Gilgamesh and is doubtful he ever will. To him, Gilgamesh is brash, reckless, and far too volatile for the crown. He dislikes the natural affinity he has with Pheynix and his wayward corruption, as well as his single-minded nature. When they are together, Gilgamesh criticises his fragility and N criticises his rashness. They are like fire and ice - Nephthys pledges, if he were ever to become king, he would never be one like Gilgamesh.
