Rui

Rui is a small Tanuki girl who lives out in the woods by herself, foraging, fishing, and gardening. Once every month, she visits the city to buy supplies and sell things she's found, mostly garbage. Growing up in the woods, Rui is a bit out of touch with society, and can appear as weird or eccentric, but means well and is easily excited. 

Aside from being an elusive female Tanuki, Rui takes being a Tanuki very seriously, and as such, abides by the widely recognized principles of being a Tanuki. She never leaves home without a trusty hat or two, and a bottle of her favorite sake. She's watchful and pays close attention to her surroundings, but never forgets to smile. She has an endless pit of a stomach, and can scarf down food for an indefinite amount of time. The only Tanuki virtue she doesn't really follow too closely is having an oversized scrotum, let alone a scrotum at all. As aloof as she is, Rui can recognize that she dodged a bullet there.
