The youngest son of the Kalahariy family of the famous prosecutor Asher Kalahari, Rei grew up among some of them as criminologist lawyers. His family spent all their time on their duties as lawyers or prosecutors, which sometimes caused them to ignore him a lot, feeling abandoned by his father Asher, who always let his shadow (Luna, a black wolf) take care of him most of the time, all of them. except his mother Enith, whom she appreciates a lot and even when she was busy, she never left her little son aside. At 5 years old he had an accident that left his leg paralyzed, which devastated his mother greatly and seeing the constant arguments only made Rei feel that everything that happened was his fault. Because of that he stayed at home all day, when he returned to the forest he saw the shadow of a dog who always seemed badly injured, his family sometimes took him for crazy but his mother Enith and his brother Astaroth only realized that he was just like Rei did when he saw the dead, finally giving the dog a decent burial and giving him some peace. which would greatly affect his day-to-day life and at his almost adult age.

At the age of 7 there was an accident that would completely change Rei's life and it would be the death of her mother. Rei's memories were blurry because she always saw herself in an eternal dream: a snowy night, the moon shining and being hugged by someone. In the end, no evidence was found regarding the crime. Also due to the tension that was happening in the country, many of his brothers would go to Japan to start a new life from scratch.

Over time, Rei began to isolate himself a lot from his siblings due to the fact that each of them would begin their new life, whether with families or work, which devastated him even more, feeling alone at a fairly early age. He would find comfort with his friends but nothing filled the emptiness he felt which made him create a serious personality, this plus the little he really remembers about his family, made his attitude identical to that of his father almost as if it were a reflection of himself, which thanks to that, Rei would not have his own identity but a facade which he maintains due to his anguish and desperation, which meant that he could never fully develop his ability only to end up being judged by many people having those nicknames due to his personality and almost aggression that he had with people very often.

Rei would have the ability to do so after he was unjustly imprisoned for the death of his cousin. Yabambi, remembering some events well, would finally develop his "chain of memories" ability.

The ability is that each person has a chain either neck, wrists, abdomen (in these current designs Rei has shackles on her wrists), where she can see the chains that the people next to her have. The objective is to "break" the facade and chains of the witnesses to show their true nature or remember events that were forgotten/hurt over time. To break the chains Rei must discover the Root of that facade or lost memory. When your true nature is shown is where you have to be careful, because the person may not be the same once the chain is broken. His chains in Rei's point of view may be "imaginary" but the reality is that the more they tighten their shackles or the chains get tangled in their arms, the more memory/facade people carry, something that can certainly be annoying. For Rei, people can't see the "chains" other than just Rei who also shares the burden with the witnesses. what I mean: If the witness has a chain around his neck, Rei will have it and will feel that pressure and burden that the person has.

Curiosities and curious facts:

  • The skill went through several changes, it was originally planned as a logical poker and another that was where Rei would see both the perspective of the murderer and that of the victim themselves. But the concepts were changed because I didn't like her and I felt that she was too out of character, due to the designs that Rei had, finally she changed her ability "Chain of memories" due to the fact that Rei doesn't remember much about her past (and more There will be more things ahead that will turn things around for him)
  • A small skill you have is being able to detect subtleties in body language and facial expressions to accurately identify lies. This is due to the inheritance of his mother who is a criminologist.
  • He has a great sixth sense! You will always know when things are going wrong.
  • When using the ability, Rei's shackles tighten her wrists, mostly she uses it to break the chains, the more the shackles tighten, the more she will know the weight that breaking the chains entails.
  • Rei is very passive towards criminals and his motivations being the reflection of what Rei really is, behind that facade he is a boy who also suffers and is empathetic with murderers, being somewhat the part that Rei hates about himself.
  • Rei is color blind, he sees in grayscale.
  • Something that even to know if the person has died, he usually licks the blood to know if it really is blood or not.
  • The designs are usually the stage of Rei's life, at first he hid in order to maintain his facade (that's why his cap hid his face), but when he met Athena Rei he finally stopped hiding (this with his current design)
  • The necklace on Rei's neck is partly what allows her to see the chains better.
  • Rei's hair is naturally pure black but whenever she shakes it it usually looks "dirty" or even stained.
  • After his mother's accident, Rei's hair turns not only black but also reddish due to his mother's blood, which is a reminder of the "memory" of him that he cannot forget.
  • Cats often harass him a lot (don't ask, it just happens)
  • His arms are bandaged due to the constant damage he does to himself as punishment.
  • He suffers from depersonalization syndrome, which means that sometimes in the middle of a trial he doesn't know who he is, he even gets to see his reflection a lot, even if he is almost killed, he would be left not knowing if what is happening is real or not.
