Mei Koizumi is the leader of her group 'PLEASE INSERT COIN', as well as the guitarist. She's known by most of her classmates as the quiet, weird one. In reality, she's quite peppy anywhere else.
She finds the Arcade SEKAI on her phone after being ditched by yet another group of people she was trying to fit in with. She assumes its just some strange, reaccuring dream until Tamiko shows up.

- she attends miyamazuzaka with tamiko, in the same year as her
- she LOVES games. her favourites are rpgs and any arcade game
mei finds herself in the sekai a lot. whether to hang out with her members or to de-stress after a day, she loves her sekai and would never let it go.
while she loves talking to people, the same cant be said for people wanting to talk to her. most people, at least at school, avoid her entirely. in conversations with people, she tends to second guess anything she says. her group members are some of the few people shes comfortable around.

mei had first interacted with tamiko when finding her at a con. when she realized she was cosplaying as a character from one of her favourite games, she was estatic. they're attached to the hip.

she's quite close to akemi as well. they were the first person mei fully opened up to about their similar scars. when she first met her and kyoko at the arcade, she was really hoping he would like her.

the moment mei met her, she knew kyoko would be a fun person to be around. she thinks she brings a positive, upbeat energy to the whole group. still, she finds herself worried about her often...

mei confides with her sekai's vocaloids a lot. while miku can be... difficult to understand sometimes, she often gives good advice. mei would concider them both as close to her as the rest of the group.
