Tozoku "Bandit" Sakamoto is the very defintion of life giving her a shitty hand, but won the jackpot. Grew up in a horrid and henious home environment, abused to hell by all of the adults in her life, was deemed a monster by her own half-siblings, she found solace in her cousin, Ryuji and her friend-turned-partner-turned-lover Goro Akechi. Thanks to those two men in her life, she managed to break through the darkness in her heart and embrace the light of the future.

Tozoku Julia Sakamoto was born to Japanese mother Itami Sakamoto and German-Scottish American father Jason Wagner on March 4th 1998. Since Jason was engaged to Stella at the time, Jason shunned Itami, despite her begging for his affections, knowing that being sent back to Japan will end horribly for her. Jason didn't care; he just cared about his image. Itami gave birth to Tozoku, gaining help from her sister and her son, Ryuji. Growing up, the two were as thick as siblings, despite Tozoku being a year or so older than Ryuji. She adapted a boorish and punkish attitude when hanging up with him, but that only meant Ryuji could push her buttons on her "proving her worth" and to not be "girly". Bets and fights ensued all the time, but it was all in good fun. He even gave her the nickname "Zo."

When Jason came back into Tozoku's life, Itami nearly threw herself at his feet, begging to be his personal Japanese mistress, as long as he took her and Tozoku to America with him. Jason agreed, realizing he wasn't really getting any from Stella and was looking for any kind of outlet. Ryuji was heart broken to learn his only cousin and best friend was leaving him, and Tozoku wasn't happy about it either. She spoke very little English at this point and knew she was going to struggle in America. She promised she would write to him and call him. Sadly, the moment she left Japan, her life as she knew it...was going to suck.

Her step-mother Stella is a HUGE racist and xenophobe, snarling and barking at Tozoku for having an 'unpronouncible' name. And not wanting to taint Ryuji's name for her, she spoke the one English word she did know, translated from her own name, 'Bandit'. But since then, Stella has hit, beaten, and forced Bandit to sleep on the hardwood floors like an animal. Her half-siblings were no better, gaining four: two sisters and two brothers. All younger than her. In order: Sean, Ella, and Peter and Patricia the twins. She tried to get along with Sean, thinking he would be just like Ryuji, but he only slapped her across the face, hissing, "Stay away from me, outsider!" She rushed to Jason and her mother and cried about what happened, but Jason only shrugged, "You probably deserved it." Her spirit shattered, she learned VERY quickly to fight to survive.

From middle school to high school, Bandit became the punching bag for her whole family. Sean was one of the worst offenders, knowing that Jason had his back on everything. He even caught her trying to masturbating in private, where Jason took a switch and whipped her inner thighs until they bled. Not everything was totally lost; Jason and Stella signed her up for both boxing and choir, earning her fighting prowess in hand-to-hand combat and her lovely singing voice. Sadly, those were the only two good things that happened to her. Once Bandit turned 16, she was found with a guy from school, just talking about their shared love about video games, and Jason started to whip her with another switch, across her back. But that was when she finally snapped. No one stood up for her, so...she had to fight back.

When Sean next tried to bully Bandit, she unleashed both barrels on him, scaring the shit out of everyone as she beat the living shit out of him. Stella tried to punished her, but she only smiled sickly, "Give it your best shot, bitch!" Seeing that Bandit has snapped and will actually put someone in the hospital, Jason made a deal with her. For every day she behaves, she gained 500 dollars. She agreed, already knowing what she's going to do with the money: move back home to Japan. Her only downside is that Itami was forced to accompany her, who has turned into a drunkard and a whore.

The moment she steppped onto the train platform in Shibuya, she felt her life change forever. Not only was she reunited with her best friend and cousin Ryuji, but she also met her future husband, Goro Akechi. She was also introduced to Ryuji's besties, who happened to be the Phantom Thieves. Her life turned into a whirlwind of chaos, love, and redemption. Read here: https://archiveofourown.org/works/39886599/chapters/99871377 (currently WIP/incomplete)

Once Akechi is jailed for being Shido's hitman, he is threatened to face the death penalty. Bandit has worked tiredlessly to reduce his sentence to at least get out in 20 years. Thankfully, her protesting and championing didn't go unnoticed, as a PubSec officer named Zenkichi approached her, asking her to be his personal lisiaon on a "mission". She asked what the catch is, because to her, it was too good to be true. He only stated, that she must monitor his actitivies and never leave his side, and report it back to him. She agrees, but only if this will put him in a good light and will lessen his sentencing, which Zenkichi already promised Akechi. Their reunion was a heartfelt one, despite being separated for several months. There was tackling, laughing, kissing all over, cursing from Bandit, lovely words from both sides, making Zenkchi think, "Maybe I made a mistake choosing her as his liaison." Akechi was a different man, with longer hair, a tattoo of Bandit's key on his neck (because he couldn't take it with him, so he just asked for a picture of it and asked someone on the inside to tattoo it onto him), a little more body mass, and hardened, but tired eyes. What happens between them will take place during Persona 5 Strikers (Story getting Outlined/WIP)

SPOILERS FOR P5S!!!: After Emma is defeated and everyone goes back to normal, Akechi, in front of everyone asks Bandit to marry him, which she gladly accepts with a huge glomp, with everyone clapping, even Ryuji. Akechi does return to jail, but gets time off for good behavior and his sentence is shortened to ten years, showing that he too, can have a change of heart.

The moment Akechi is released for good, Bandit and Ryuji welcome him with open arms and start planning the wedding. They decided to have an American style wedding with Japanese tradions, such as the Betrothal (a casual family lunch between Akechi and Bandit's remaining families that offer gifts/money), Gifts for Guests (spa gifts and ramen vendors for Ryuji~), etc. They are married on August 22nd.
