My was the kind of person who planned her whole life out as kid, and stuck to it. She had a dream university, which she made it to, and then a dream job, a dream neighbourhood, a dream house; all of that. And, unlike almost ever case of it, she nailed it. She got that job (a cyber security position with excellent pay), she got that house, it was all of her dreams come true!

...and then there were no more dreams to come true.

She kept waiting endlessly to feel complete, to feel sated, but now that she had everything she wanted, she just felt nothing. And to cure that, she started hosting parties a lot at her house, where she'd invite over all her friends and coworkers, and everyone would have a blast together!!

Except, after a while that didn't feel special anymore, either.

Her drinking from the parties slowly started to ebb into nights when it was just her, and then it ebbed into before dinner, then during her work break, and eventually she was spending her whole shifts drunk, and any time she was sober she was wishing she wasn't drunk so she could ignore the empty feeling for just a little longer.

Of course, this lead to a massive fuckup. On one of her shifts, during a security pass, just one too many slurred movements let her accidentally publish several insanely private documents, which she didn't even notice until several moments later. She got called in pretty .

She'e certainly happy to feel accomplished now but shed really prefer to be sober.
