The Squad is the name a certain group of friends have decided to give themselves after being united by unfortunate circumstances. Mainly consisting of three skeletal siblings, a buff goat, a nervous reptile, a sassy salamander, and a snarky raptor. Just a happy group of friends with no secrets or buried traumas at all.

The area they live in just got out of a dangerous era where an incredibly large cult kept terrorizing the country. They preyed on monsters without magic who felt oppressed or cheated thanks to the lack of said magic, which was prevalent throughout monsterkind. They would take their anger out on important magic users, causing the era to be plagued with strange disappearances, hate crimes, and sometimes even murders. Nobody said anything out of fear of being next, but everyone knew who were the culprit. You couldn't trust anyone unless you knew for certain they were able to use magic, something you could keep hidden for a long time.

Ever since then, the community has slowly been rebuilding itself. And while the cult has been dismanteled, there are still threats of the remains of it lingering underground. As well as there being sings of something even worse approaching.

Yes, I know this is basically bootleg undertale. No, that wasn't planned at all.
