Avrru had lost his home tree during battles with the sky people, and had nearly been one of the many casualties as his home burned down. Fortunately for him his ikran had found him and kept him safe long enough for a small group of ‘rogue’ human scientists to find him and be able to help him. The limbs he lost were replaced with high tech robotics and after he was healed he left to live with his Ikran on their own, rejected by others for his supposed alliance with the sky people. Original concept/lore
The idea in mind for this design though is that Eywa had abandoned him(for whatever reason), he can’t even breath pandoras air anymore and his body is left destroyed. He was found by a group of scientists/engineers who modified his body and allowed him to live again. But is he truly living when he’s half machine?
