Rou is an ancient oni-kitsune who has adapted to the changing and modernizing world. Unlike many other spirit beings and yokais, Rou is not stuck in the old ways, but lives in the middle of the city, owns a famous tattoo shop, paints and treats his students with a harsh hand. Over the centuries, the oni-kitsune has gained a reputation as a great artist, behaving accordingly. He is a proud, elegant, and very stern spirit being, devoting his days to constantly developing and maintaining his skills. By nature, Rou is distant and cold. He rarely lets anyone near him - no one is worthy of it. He is hardworking, harsh and admittedly sadistic. Unlike in his youth, Rou is no longer ashamed of being half oni and half kitsune, but is completely above it. He lives for the art and the passion it awakens within him. As a spirit being, Rou has more than one genders, but is usually set on presenting himself as a male.

The oni-kitsune behaves in a more polite manner for his customers, but may slash out on his peers behind closed doors.

Rou paints with his six tails, using them as brushes. The tattoos, on the other hand, are a good example of the mystical abilities possessed by the oni-kitsune – the tattoos are alive, and Rou can partly control the bodies of his victims. His students get tattoos of their own as well.

Abilities

• Wisps: Rou usually has a few of them circling around him. They provide a small light source and are also helpful whenever he wants to lure his prey
• Tattoos: the oni-kitsune has an ability to bring his tattoos alive, using them to control his victims. The tattoos can take control of the victim's body, but also penetrate their mind. They represent gateways, which he can use to take over other people's bodies and also enter them.
• Paintings: Much like tattoos, Rou can bring his paintings alive. He can also use them to teleport to different locations
• Curses: Rou knows how to use curses on people he really dislikes
• Ghosts: the oni-kitsune can communicate and control ghosts and spirits to some degree
• Shapeshifting: not only can Rou change his own gender, he can turn other people into different beings temporarily (for example: oni into a dog)

• Rou can get pregnant and have children, but he almost always eats his offspring to strengthen his own mystical powers
