She’s apart of a species of humanoid beings that are half phantoms and half fauns.

Cherie was a 8-tailed fox in her previous life. She died trying to obtain her 9th tail but failed and lost her life due to it.

Cherie blends in with society under a human guise, and she lures people in with her beauty ? Kindness? and then eats/absorbs their soul. When she feeds, her real "mouth" in her torso exposes itself.

She puts up like a kind cool student president vibe? Kinda personality, is actually pretty cold though, apathetic.

She rarely has a genuine connection with others, although it could happen. She’s been heartbroken / betrayed before and doesn’t trust many others.  

Her real name is 暮雪 (Twilight Snow). Anyone who is entranced or captured by her can utter her true name to escape from her. Hearing her true name brings her great agony due to the traumatic memories associated with it
