✦ She is often present in areas of conflict or festivity, wandering around, playing the Jiahu Gǔdí. Those who hear her signature playing on the battle field are said to have been blessed with a vision for victory.
✦ Although Kaiwen cannot directly control the flow of battles, she is capable of striking fear or instilling hope in those who hear her music. As such, there are mixed perceptions of her. The general consensus is that she is a mischevious guardian.

✦ Kaiwen is suspected to be even older than 1986 years. Although her estimated true age places her amongst the "Old Gods," Kaiwen is considered to be a new guardian due to her frequent metamorphosis, which allows her to pary the effect of aging at the cost of her current physical form and sometimes, even her memories.
✦ She has no memories of the calamity that occurred several centuries ago and it is likely linked to her powers of metapmorphosis in combination with the impact of Nulo's powers. Every few centuries, she goes into slumber to replenish her energy and it is believed that Kaiwen was asleep when the Ancient Evil wrecked havoc on Congyro.
✦ While in her cocooning phase, Kaiwen must choose to wake up with a different physical form. During the time frame in which Checkmate takes place, she takes on the form of a 19-year-old girl.
