The Blue Beam is one of the 'adult' heroes who patrol the city of Port Starboard.
He uses a voice modulator in his helmet to disguise his identity.
He has powers of construction, using bright blue glowing particles to construct anything from walls to stairs to cuffs.
He is currently investigating the string of mutated animals that have been attacking the city, going so far as to interview witnesses, and fight the mutants directly. So far he has not narrowed down the source of this mayhem.
At first he tried to deter a specific 'young ' hero, saying he's not cut out for it, then apologized for being short with him, and giving him some advice he needed to hear. He is trying to keep an eye on some of the young heroes, and wants to be a good role model, but even grown-ups have their bad days.
He has a civilian identity, and my players have determined to be either:
-Mr. Frakus
-Mr. Frakus' girlfriend??
-Franklin (despite being in the same place at the same time as him several times)
-Mike, Joshua's friend
-Mike J., Joshua's Dog
-Kenny, for some reason
-a random student(s)
-Arabella, even.
-Jaden and Al, collectively
-Franklin, again
-Joshua
-anyone in town
The players have affectionately nicknamed him the Blue Bean.
