Valora (OP OC)

Born in the treacherous waters on a small island, she grew up idolizing the guards that protected her town. The town was rich in mining, and was protected under a yonko rule.
This was all well for several years before the mineshaft started to deteriorate and eventually collapsed, making mining nearly impossible to continue. The yonko saw fit to end their agreement thus leaving the town up in the air in terms of protection. Valora was the only devil fruit user among the people, and not many were very good at fighting, so it was only a matter of time before Pirates came and burned it to the ground. Valora, heavily wounded but not dead, did her best to save anyone, but they all perished in the flames left by the pirates. Valora now wanders the seas seeking atonement for her failure, and regrets ever gaining a devil fruit, wishing she'd had something more useful. wishing she'd pulled her weapon ready at even the slightest hint of danger, but she was too slow.

Devil Fruit:

The Wind-Up Wind-Up Fruit. This is a Paramecia type fruit. 

This fruit causes its user to be able to wind-up their body like a toy, and release stored up energy that creates devestating results the longer the user winds-up. This can become very counter intuitive since it takes a while for a powerful move to take place, and if it isn't catching the enemy off gaurd, can lead to an easy defeat while trying to make a play. Valora is easiliy mistaken for being slow on a count of her age thus why she often wins fights on a first encounter.
