hails from the Andersen pack in the Appalachians. escaped a government raid with her immediate family and a handful of other pack members, fled to Yellowstone. was raised in the pack with her brother, trained to fight and survive alone.
left the pack in adulthood and moved to Boston. while visiting the pack, was ambushed by government agents. fled back to Boston, promising to avenge her family.

Beast Form
Kate unleashes the deepest pull of her instincts and takes on the body of a werewolf. her strength and constitution are doubled until she changes form, but her intelligence and charisma are halved. she attacks with slashing claws and bites with huge jaws. the longer she remains in this form, the less rational her thoughts become and the more feral she becomes. after enough time, she will no longer recognize allies.
Animal Instinct
regardless of her form, Kate has heightened senses and instincts to hunt, chase, and fight when threatened. these are a distraction in battle. she can track enemies for miles and has sensitive ears, including sensing cardinal directions and magnetic fields. she is prone to sensory overload and may become disoriented in battle.
Kate is proud and independent. she has good instincts in the heat of battle and in tough situations, but she rarely thinks about her decisions and who they might affect. though her loyal instincts are strong, she is slow to trust. she minds her own business, unless that business starts affecting her. she never forgets a slight against her.
