Personality

Valmir is kind, friendly, and almost always has a smile upon his lips. Despite this, he never outright trusts anyone. Unless his horse likes them, as he claims her judgement is better than his.

Description

Tall, at 6'2". Valmir has a lean build with muscle tone and a fair complexion. He has pale grey-green eyes. His hair is near shoulder length and is in loose curls/waves, and is dark brown with some white. He always has some sort of scruff on his face and has an average amount of chest hair that trails down his abdomen to form a 'treasure trail'. Valmir is missing part of his left ear, and is deaf on that side, and has some scarring on that side of his face/neck.

His animal form looks like a Serval in size/shape with the coat type of a LaPerm. The fur is the same dark brown with white as his hair.

Background

Valmir is the only child of Behar and Mirela Erion, and a disappointment to his parents, mostly his father. Instead of becoming a fisherman, as was expected, he decided to make his own path and became an adventurer of sorts. An adventurer who breaks in to heavily trapped tombs because they enjoy the thrill of disarming said traps. He never disturbs any caskets, though he will take a few things from the surrounding area to make enough money to feed himself and his horse. Valmir never does this as a job for others, it's more of a hobby, and he always works alone.

Save for once. The one time he worked with someone else was the same 'job' where he received the injury to his left ear. Having heard rumors of an exceptionally difficult tomb to break into, he was approached by a man while asking for directions in a tavern. Valmir had never worked with anyone before, but thought that some help might not be too bad. And the man claimed to be proficient at disarming traps. Lena, his horse, felt differently. She didn't like the stranger and the stranger didn't like her, something Valmir chose to ignore as he and Lena had only been together for a few months and he hadn't yet learned her good judgement. They had been traveling a while, she was probably tired, and maybe the man just didn't like horses. Some people didn't.

The job went well in the beginning, until they came upon a door to a central room that was trapped. A trap the stranger said wasn't his forte, so Valmir decided to take care of it. It was similar, though on a larger scale, to another trap he head dealt with. A series of rings set in the door that had to be lined up just right, starting with the outer ring. They made a certain tone of click when set into place. Simple enough, rotate the rings and listen for the clicks. Valmir reached the inner ring when there was a loud crash. His 'partner' had knocked over a large urn that shattered (if Lena could talk, she would swear he did it on purpose). Valmir thought he hadn't heard the click and turned the ring again. The sound it made was wrong and within moments the stone next to his ear exploded. The impact knocked him out, and when he came to the man was gone with both their shares of the loot they had collected thus far. Fifteen years have passed and he has yet to see that man again, though he's not quite sure what he would do if he ever does.
