P E R S O N A L I T Y:

{Curious} {Oblivious} {Clingy} {Loyal} {Harsh} {Emotional}

Curious:  Marin has always been a curious cat. He tends to try and find out about  things he doesn’t know that could potentially hurt him. He’ll usually  be the first to check out something odd that’s happened, and he has  scars on his tail to prove he doesn’t think when he tries to find  something out. Other cat’s always tell him that ‘Curiousity killed the  cat’, but he always replies with ‘Well, satisfaction brought it back.’

Oblivious:  Due to being raised as a pet, and being kept in a bubble most of his  life, Marin doesn’t know a lot of things other cats do. He won’t get it  if someone is reference subtle, or notice things that might be plain to  see to other cats. He won’t notice if someone is gossiping about him, or  if someone has a crush on him, no matter how obvious.

Clingy:  Marin gets extremely attached to things very quickly, especially other  cats. He easily makes friend, and will stick as close to them as he can  before they have to leave. Many cats see his clinginess as annoying, so  sometimes he’ll try to not to cling to new cats as much, but good luck  to the cats he’ll become best friend with. You’ll have a hard time  getting him out of your fur!

Loyal: When you’ve earned Marin’s  full trust, (Which can happen pretty quickly, since he is quite  trusting.) he’ll do almost anything for you. You’re in danger? Boom,  he’ll try to protect you. Annnd probably get squashed in the process.  You’re feeling down? Bam, he’ll cheer you up as well as he can.

Harsh:  When he’s hurting, or angry, he can be very harsh to other cats around  him without realizing it. But if he’s extremely angry, which doesn’t  happen often, he can be harsh on purpose, just to try to get the cat to  go away. As friendly as he is, he wasn’t taught manners as well as some  other cats, so harsh words will slip out even if he doesn’t mean them.  Most of the time, he won’t even realize they’re considered ‘harsh’.

Emotional:  Tends to get very emotional in different situations, and is prone to  crying when he’s happy, sad, or even angry. He’ll wear his heart oh his  sleeve, making it very easy for other cats to tell what he’s feeling. He  usually doesn’t try and hide his emotions from other cats, unless he  doesn’t know them very well. If a friend asks him if something’s wrong,  he’ll probably break down and tell them what happen, whilst crying on  their shoulder.

B A C K G R O U N D:

With his father  and mother both being pets, Marin had a pretty luxurious life. He was  kept in a bubble for most of his life, due to his parents wanting to  keep him safe. He wasn’t allowed into the outside world unless one of  his parents was with him, and even so, they never did anything exciting.  They never took him to see any coliseum battles, or to see any new  cats.

But what he wanted most was a little freedom.  Unfortunately for him, he would never sneak out, or do anything against  his parent’s word. It was unthinkable to him, since it was imprinted in  his mind that he HAD to listen to his parent’s every command.

His  parent’s finally decided he was old enough to go out on his own once  and a while, when he had turned two. Of course, when he went outside for  the first time, he had only lasted ten minutes by himself before he  came crawling back to his parents. As much as he wanted some freedom, it  was too scary to be by himself right now.
He eventually did get  somewhat used to it, but he still always liked to go out with someone,  and it was usually his black footed cat friend. He had started to  develop a small crush on her, too, but she disappeared. To this day, he  still doesn’t know if she’s alive.

He had always been  interested in the Bounty Hunters, but he hadn’t meet them in person  until the day they were chasing someone who had stolen something. He had  just been minding his own business, when a young clouded leopard bumped  into him, spilling some gold he was carrying in the process. The cat  quickly meet Marin’s gaze, before bolting off, not bothering to pick up  the dropped gold.

Angry shouting was heard from behind him, and  before he could turn around to investigate, a cat had stepped on his  tail, causing him to hiss. He turned around with narrow eyes, ready to  ask what the big deal was, but he lost his voice and shivered instead.  Right in front of him were two Bounty Hunters, looking not so happy. One  looked like he’d been recently beat up, too. Marin wondered why.

“You’re  working with him, aren’t you?” The Hunter growled, his eyes focused on  the many pieces of gold on the ground. “You helped him get away.”

“N-no,”  Marin stuttered, backing up. He’d never been this scared in his life.  “H-he just bumped into m-me, and dropped some gold. I swear I didn’t  know him.”

The other Hunter’s voice cut in, “Leave him alone,  he’s obviously just some kid who was at the wrong place at the wrong  time. He’s a pet, I can tell. Aren’t you?” She questioned with narrowed  eyes, stepping closer to him.

He nodded quickly, trying to wipe  the tears from his eyes. Maybe he should have never left home, should  have never asked for more freedom.

“Do you know which way he went?” The male Hunter asked, in annoyance. It seemed he didn’t like crying kids.

Marin  nodded again, pointing in the direction the clouded leopard had gone.  It was probably too late to catch him, anyways. He watched as they ran  off in pursuit of him, and he took a shaky little breath, before heading  back home.

When he had gotten home, he collapsed next to his mother, immediately telling her all that had happened.

It  wasn’t even a week later, and his parent were telling him he had to  leave. That the Bounty Hunters were paying too much attention to him.  They afraid they would try to recruit him or worse. So they devised a  plan for him to leave the city, and stay in the forest for a few moons,  to lie low until the hunters forgot about him.

Marin didn’t see  the obvious flaws in the plan, or that it didn’t make complete sense. He  just shakily went along with it, not even wondering how he would  survive out in the wild. Of course, he did have a few questions, like  how was he going to get out of the city? And, weren’t there other cats  in the forest? Or was that all a silly tale? He wasn’t sure, but soon he  found himself stepping out of the city, and into unfamiliar territory.

He  was soon met by a Lighting Empire patrol, and he almost fainted on the  spot at the other cats. He quickly told them why he was in their forest,  and they offered him the chance to join Lighting Empire.

After a  moment of thinking, Marin accepted the offer. If he was supposed to be  staying here, he might as well stay at a place that seems friendly, and  had shelter, food, and many other cats.

Physical abilities:

Marin  is very quick on his feet when he wants to be, but he’s prone to  tripping over things and being slightly clumsy. He also found at that  he’s extremely good at hunting-but terrible at fighting, as he can’t  seem to stay on his feet. He’s also tried climbing things, but he  usually falls down after a few seconds.

Quirks:

He has an odd obsession for ladybugs. He also seems to attract them like a magnet when he’s wearing his armour.

He usually wakes up and finds that he’s been cuddling something. A rock, a branch, the cat sleeping next to him

He get flustered very easily. Compliment him? Boom, he’s blushing.

He loves puns, though cat puns are his favorite.
