“From the Old English name Ceadda which is of unknown meaning, possibly based on Welsh cad "battle".”
Although  Chad is a prince, he doesn’t act like it. He likes to wander where ever  he pleases (often where ever Winnie goes) and is known to exaggerate  and be theatrical. When he met his cousin for the first time he  proclaimed the she was his “destined rival”. His dream is to become the  best swordsman and a legendary hero. He believes that he must defeat his  “rival” in order to complete his dream. However she is not so easily  roped into his crazy ideas. Chad has a love of spicy foods and likes  curry best of all.

Originally  Chad was going to look more girly so I could put in a joke that he  looked more feminine than Winnie but I changed my mind and went for a  more boyish look. I actually took some of Winnie's ideas and put them on  him as it suited him better such as the armor on his feet and at one  point she had shoulder armor but it made her look cluttered. I wanted  him to look like a knight and to look more, well, fancy than Winnie to  show their personalities a bit. Her clothes are a bit plain to suit her  “down to earth” nature and his flashier to show off his dramatic  personality. Ditte has clothes that looked kinda maid-ish because she is  a servant.
